Highly recommend the duck feast, even though you have to wait a few months for a booking and you have to put a deposit down of 45 pound per person. They only serve the duck feast to one table per night. It's 8 courses of duck cooked in different ways! The first 4 courses are quite small, so we never... More

I was recommended this place by a friend as a place to take my dad for dinner whilst he was in the country. I booked a table mid week and went along with my boyfriend and father - promising them that this random restaurant in Pimlico was 'mean't to be good'. I was extremely impressed, I ordered a selection of... More

Have heard so much about A.Wong's dim sum so thought I'd try it out. The hostess was absolutely fantastic, I can't praise her enough. Very chatty, approachable and likeable and she explained the menu to me as I sat down so I knew how many dishes to order. The dim sum menu (21 dishes) is only available for lunch and... More

Our meal at A Wong was a combination of lovely food and an uncomfortable meal. We had their "10 COURSE ‘TASTE OF CHINA’ MENU". The food was lovely with a variety of textures and spice levels, and each dish introduced by the staff as being from a different region of China and all very tasty. Sadly the meal is spoilt... More

Somehow the dessert is sweet as always,i doubt the amount of touch the food gets before i take my bite, big doubt when you thinkl how many clean hands and flavoured free palm and clean utensils being used..or one dirty spoon does all the job???

Fabulous food, beautifuly presented, excellent service in a lovely setting. It was like being in a top notch West End London restaurant, but nestled in the heart of Pimlico without West End prices. Amazing value for money, a brilliant menu, and a fabulous bar downstairs. Staff friendly and helfpful. You can tell the owner is very proud of his restaurant.... More

We visited this restaurant last Monday and had their 10 course Flavours of China taster menu. It is actually 12 courses and you leave feeling very full. It is the best Chinese meal I have ever and far from the run-of-the mill sweet and sour found in restaurants the world over. The combination of flavours, textures and colours were incredible... My wife and I have eaten dim sum in many restaurants and can honestly say that the meal we had at A. Wong was the best we have ever enjoyed. As if that were not enough, the service was excellent and the ambiance pleasant. We will definitely eat there again.

Went for dinner with friend, bill total £120 without wine. The place is noisy. Seats not comfortable, a lady at another table asks for a cushion. Snacks & sharing plates are ok but main courses are very disappointing. Service is hit & miss. We had to ask for water twice & it took 20 min. for our cocktails to arrive.... More

Description
The name comes from the maiden name of the current proprietors' grandmother, and Kym's is still very much a family affair. This composed, affable restaurant serves hot and spicy cuisine rooted in its regional Chinese heritage - with a dim sum menu for lunch - to a hectic crowd of politicians, ambassadors and locals drawn to its bustling Victoria location.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
