Booked pre-theatre slot, 5.45 to 6.45 before show at 7. Delay with starters - two of those we'd ordered turned out to be unavailable - so went just for main course. Food didn't arrive by 6.45 despite their repeatedly saying it was on its way so we left, hungry. Inexcusable.

We ate here twice while in London as it was very close to where we were staying at the Nadler Victoria. The food both times was very good. Only complaint is the service was slow both times.

The little restaurant above the bar was the perfect venue we were very lucky they could fit us in and were served quickly with great pub food and good wine, it's only small but had a great feel to it.

We enjoyed a delicious meal of fish and chips at The Phoenix. Service was great, wine was very good. Our one complain was that the side dishes (the cabbage and mashed peas) were not as good at the main course - a bit disappointing. However, I would go back and try it again!

Packed out pub, full of people eating Sunday lunch. Big portions that tasted delicious and was served by a friendly waitress. Very yummy indeed.

Had my first ever Sunday Roast lunch here during my London trip. The food was delicious and the portions were great. The menu had a wide variety too, my vegetarian mum didn't had trouble finding suitable food here. Recommended for anyone looking for great food. Try the Sunday Roast if you have the chance.

This is a very nice little pub in center of London, the food is pretty good also, and it serves Doom Bar which is a great bonus.

Nice beer selection. The kitchen was closed when we visited. Decorated with interesting posters and inside the 2 curved window seats had some interesting glass panels. There is street tables and chairs.

We came in pretty late for a Sunday dinner and even though the kitchen was closing shortly they could not have been nicer. We ordered one of their Sunday specials and wow, my daughter wasn't even finished with her chicken and was asking to come back. It was perfection, it had everything in a meal that she could have wanted.... More

Less than a 5-minute walk from Victoria station and in the heart of the hustle and bustle is the Phoenix, a pub with split personalities. During the week, it is popular with busy office workers looking to entertain clients or grab the express lunch. On the weekend, this is the ideal spot for tourists to enjoy proper English food, whilst reflecting over their photos of nearby Buckingham Palace. The menu offers dishes with the freshest ingredients and a little bit of style, whilst the express lunch is great when on the move - 2 or 3 courses served on a slate together. Alternatively, make your own salad at the salad bar, or pick a hearty meal or just a snack from the menu. Typical of Geronimo's pubs, you can kick back on the large cosy sofas with the high wooden tables and enjoy a personal touch with the open kitchen.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
