So much to see and do, places to visit, food to eat, street performers to enjoy, you need to spend a whole day to thoroughly experience all that this historic venue has to offer. My only little gripe is that you have to share it...More

Bankside is a district in Southwark that is undergoing a lot of redevelopment. The area is now home to many new buildings, offices and apartment blocks. Offering wonderful riverside walks, this area is trendy, lively and presents an excellent option for a lovely stroll.

Avoid this place unless you want to wait hours for food and when the food eventually arrives expect it to be uncooked. Simply DO NOT GO

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond

Description
The newest arrival to the Biagio family, Biagio @ Bankside occupies a fabulous position just off of the Southwark Bridge. Close to everything the wonderful Bankside has to offer this restaurant follows the tried and tested Biagio formula of contemporary-meets-traditional surroundings, warm Italian welcome and great value food. Authentic in every sense, the menu is a wonderful breath of fresh Italian air, combining the best of all regions with its fantastic meat and fish dishes, fresh, delicious pasta and, of course, a selection of wonderful pizzas which put the average Italian chain restaurant to shame. The large bar area provides a relaxing space in which to enjoy an aperitif or to digest your meal as you finish your evening in style.
