To me any visit to London must include Indian cuisine and this is my favorite place. My last visit to London was 4 years ago and at the time in my humble opinion this was the best and classiest Indian restaurant. This time around can’t...More

I went there on saturday brunch at gloucester road and was completely disappointed. The menu is so limited , specially the starters. Live chaat was alright but chicken starter was being served cold. Once the food tray was empty you have wait hours for it...More

Booked a table based on all the positive reviews but it was a very disappointing and expensive experience. Starters: 1) Waiter convinced us that the palak chaat was the most popular starter and much better than the sev puri. The dish was average and overpowered...More

Good food, pleasant decor/ambience and efficient service but both food and drinks are absurdly expensive - even taking into account that service is included. eg £9 for a tiny 125ml glass of Pinot Grigio, Kingfisher @ £7 per 330ml bottle.

I went to the opening of the Bombay Brasserie in 1982 so returning after 35 years was an interesting proposition. Unfortunately it was not an experience that I will be tempted to relive again. Let us be clear that the food here is exceptional. Indeed,...More

Dinner for 2, end September 2017. I've had weekend brunch at Bombay Brasserie a few times, albeit not for a few years, and remembered the food to be excellent. Therefore the recent dinner experience - which can only be described as semi-disastrous - was all...More

I took my wife to celebrate our anniversary, I was expecting quality Indian spicy food. We choose the taster menu as this would be a good way to sample the Cuisine. What a let down, the food was very bland and I couldn't believe that...More

We arrived, a group of 8, to dine early evening following an excellent afternoon at Royal Albert Hall, “Classic Spectacular”, to be highly recommended. The staff were very welcoming and promptly shown to our table. I personally as a “country person” thought the menu to...More

Walked in on a Saturday night with no reservation and was given a table for two pretty quickly. We were told to leave before 8:30 but that was fine. Beautiful interior. The table was a wobbly. Starters we're very nice and nice design. Main course...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

What do you consider expensive? It's very good and it is London so it ain't cheap, as a treat if you want to experience a high quality curry in a great atmosphere it is worth it.

I don't think they state that it's halal- but call them. Personally I think they must have rated themselves as "one of the best Indian restaurants in Britain". In my experience they come nowhere near. They probably claim... More

Opening in 1982, Bombay Brasserie was in the vanguard of modern Indian cuisine, with an inventive approach that married classic regional cooking with a European brasserie-style menu. The spacious interior, with its airy conservatory and bright murals, extends to a welcoming bar and a more traditional dining room well suited to the affluent Kensington clientele.
