As one of a handful Michelin guides Indian restaurants I was excited that a family birthday was planned for the Cinnamon club. The setting is beautiful, an old library gives this restaurant a opulent, grandiose feel that impresses from the get go. Unfortunately the service doesn't match up to the setting and most importantly nor does the food. Our bill... More

Wow! Everything about this place is perfect. The setting itself -- dinning in a large hall surrounded by beautiful bookshelves is lovely. The service is excellent and the food exquisite. Every plate we ate was just right -- its size, taste and presentation. I had octopus as an appetizer and fish for a main course. Others had lamb and chicken.

Because this was celebrating a birthday with a 0 in it we certainly pushed the boat out with the tasting menu and matching wines. This was incredibly expensive but wonderfully satisfying for both myself with the vegetarian menu and family with the meat and fish option. The food here is always good and this menu is well thought through and... More

We went on Easter Sunday and from start to finish the food and service were excellent. The service was attentive without being overly so. We had the Buttered chicken for 2 as a main course which was gorgeous, nicely spiced and very generous in quantity even for 2 hearty eaters! Delicious starters and memorable puddings - cardamom creme brulee to... More

Delicious food. Good service. Even our "McD kids" found the food tasty. We are not Indian-food experts, but everything was delicious.

Location: close to the houses of parliament in a converted library. Atmosphere: the acoustic is a bit loud and tables are very close together. It lacks the intimacy that I prefer for a quiet lunch. Service: adequate for a Michelin starred restaurant Food: high end Indian cuisine. Every dish tasted excellent and it was worth visiting the place. The portions... More

We had lunch with friends here. The building and decor are lovely. The Waiter was very good, he was attentive, but did leave us alone, as he could see that we were happy with the food and service, and therefore didn't constantly interrupt to see if we were OK. The food was amazing. I normally like very spicy food, however... More

First visit after hearing about it for years. Not very impressed. Nice dining area surrounded by old books on the shelves. Staff were bordering on the rude, not attentive and disinterested our experience. Food was also very disappointing and very overpriced for what it was. Wouldn't call the food authentic in taste. Many better Indian restaurants out there. Will not... More

My wife and I ate here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The building was formerly a Victorian library which is original and unique in it's set up. First impressions are very good and staff are very attentive. Unfortunately I think this is where the problem arose. Within a minute of sitting down, one of the staff wanted to take our... More

We dined at Cinnamon Club our first night in London and it was absolutely delicious. We came on a Sunday, which happens to have a nice "lazy Sunday" deal that is a steal. Description
Challenging the notion that Indian cuisine can only be created using age-old recipes and ideas, The Cinnamon Club demonstrates how evolution and adaptation can create a new chapter in gourmet excellence. Housed in the Grade II listed former Westminster Library, a stone’s throw from London’s Westminster Abbey, The Cinnamon Club’s neo-colonial feel fits perfectly with its distinctive style of Indian haute cuisine.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
