I love this place, the food and ambience are just perfect. Oysters were excellent as always, sea bass for my main was delicious and the chocolate fondant with mint ice cream (yes you could taste the fresh mint) was simply the perfect way to finish a lovely dinner. If you like fish this place together with Scott's in Mayfair are... More

I'm not a huge lover of all things fish (my partner is however) but I always enjoy coming to J Sheekey. This is my third visit in just over two years, the food is superb, the service discreet, attentive and I would say, almost faultless. My choice of potted shrimp, classic fish and chips (haddock) and ice-cream to finish could... More

We ate the Oyster Bar portion of the restaurant after a show in the West End. It's a little less formal than the main part of the restaurant. It's probably a little less expensive, but definitely still on the pricey side. Decent service, a reasonable wine list and a lively crowd made it a memorable evening.

Pre theatre(matinee) visit to this well run establishment. Sitting at the bar there is much to watch. Food was excellent, lobster being treated as the July 'special' though I would always consider it special. Flat iron steak and lobster tail in garlic sauce, wonderful and the ceviche also much enjoyed. Staff friendly and most efficient, please continue in this vein.

Tucked away in the side streets of London, J.Sheekey provided the perfect evening for my wife's 50th birthday celebration. A table for four was secured for Saturday night at the eleventh hour on the Thursday before. Reservations were more than accomodating and also arranged a birthday plate for the special guest. We started the meal with oysters, served with a... More

We visited J Sheekey for the first time yesterday for an early dinner and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The service was friendly and helpful with just the right balance between formality and informality and the food was some of the best we have ever tasted. Although the octopus and chorizo was a little too oily for our... More

Had dinner here with friends and we all had a most enjoyable meal. The choice and quality of food was good (the brill fish of the day was cooked beautifully), the wine list has a good choice across the price range, and the ambience is lively. Service was a little disappointing, particularly when the starters arrived - one starter out... More

A really outstanding meal on Tuesday this week. In particular credit goes to a young waiter - Sam - whose service was exemplary: extending to his knowledge and enthusiasm for the wine choices (where he did not do that irritating but predictable thing of "up selling"). On his advice we drank a brilliant off dry German Riesling (yes, I know...)... More

I have been a frequent visitor to Sheekey and have never had a bad meal but last visit there was a real disappointment. Normally sit in the main restaurant or at the bar the bar is great. However on this visit I sat in the other less formal part of the restaurant and wow what a difference, the food was... More
