Moro thinks it's kind of River Cafe epicurean restaurant where you're sold tasty plates knocked-up by innovative well trained talented chefs. It charges prices as if this is the case. I was asked if I like my lamb pink (as you do in artisan chef-run...More

Having been twice before a few years ago and had fantastic meals, whilst visiting the UK we decided to treat my husbands daughter. The service and wine were good, the rest dreadful, very embarassing having raved about it to our guest. The pork as others...More

The food was very disappointing, we have been trying to visit Moro for some time and on this occasion we arrived travelling from Wales and managed to get a table. we were so looking forward to the food. Very overpriced, £17 for a child's basic...More

I was really looking forward to dinner at Moro. The changing menu added to the experience because it's rare nowadays that I can stop myself from looking online and deciding what I fancy before I even get to the restaurant! For starter I opted for...More

£23 for a main course, that places Moro at the expensive end of the spectrum. I took a seat at the bar and was then ignored by the barman for what seemed an eternity. Rule #1 of restaurant service, offer the diner a drink when...More

I know London pretty well but I had never been to Exmouth Market before. It had a reputation of being terribly basic and unattractive but Clerkenwell is now a buzzy trendy place and Exmouth Market, a pedestrianised street, is now full of cafes, bars and...More

Moro never fails to impress. Each time it is a real treat - the food is delicious and still interesting every time. Fabulous.

Called in at lunchtime. Really off-hand manner from the guy at the front desk. When I asked for an alternative table (bit squashed) he sarcastically said, "No! they are people who booked up yesterday" presumably meaning not for someone who just turned up? The place...More

We were a group of 9 with a reservation and were sat in a relatively private area. The food was excellent, varied, creative beautifully presented. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

Nearby
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
