Wife and I visited early March Good welcome Very formal dining room Shown to table and menu formats explained Asked for glass of prosecco to be told only serve champagne I think when you are paying in region of £250 per head if you want prosecco it should be available. Choose the tasting menu . The food was excellent. Good... More

Our 25th wedding anniversary treat for lunch, watched, followed Marcus for many years, so a perfect choice. How often I order and look across the table at my husbands dish with envy, not today! We, as often occurs tasted each others dish, and found that we wanted both as they were equally delicious, sublime, and complex. Just superb!

Very attentive staff, good atmosphere, delicious tasting menu especially the Herdwick lamb and Fallow deer. The wine flight added extra interest and was largely appealing

I've been wanting to come here for ages and the wait was worth it we had the tasting menu paired with the 🍷 and I must say one of the best meals I've eaten the staff flow in and out like the dementors of Harry Potter but in a good way seemed to run effortlessly a must for the foodies... More

This has to be one of the most memorable days of my life. A shave, head massage and hair cut in Fortnum and Masons followed by dinner at Marcus. The food was absolutely divine!! The starter of smoked salmon and langoustine had flavours that I didn't know existed! Main course of veal and a dessert of chocolate, clementine and ginger... More

I loved this place. From start to finish I loved it! We had wonderful friendly service, amazing food, special touches and I cannot fault it. I had very high expectations and this restaurant and its lovely staff met and surpassed every single one. Thank you for making our birthday lunch very special...!

We had a lovely lunch at Marcus yesterday. We both had the pork starter which was a little too fatty for me. I then had the lamb which was delicious and my husband had the salmon which was lovely but very tiny... The pallet cleanser pre-dessert was delicious as were our desserts.. The wine is ridiculously expensive. I am comparing... More

It is our habit to go somewhere special for our anniversary and Marcus did not disappoint. It describes itself as "contemporary", the food may be but the décor is more old-fashioned gentleman's club, comfortable and inviting but not modern. So onto the food, we had the 5 course Taste of Winter menu along with the sommelier's selection of wine. With... More

We thought we would have a drink in the bar prior to our meal and I ordered a glass of red wine without consulting the menu (big mistake) £34 later I had taken a picture of the receipt to put on facebook as I was sure no one would believe a small glass of average red could be so expensive.... It is what you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. The service was excellent and attentive and each course of the tasting menu perfectly prepared and presented. The setting feels private and intimate almost creating the impression that you are dining alone. They even provide a small birthday surprise which was nice. However it is pricey and each person... The two Michelin starred Marcus (formerly Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley) reopened in March 2014 following a stunning refurbishment, bringing a relaxed formality to the dining experience in a new, elegant and contemporary setting. With Marcus at the helm, working closely with Head Chef, Mark Froydenlund, the heart of the food remains the same, delivering modern European menus with British influence using the highest quality produce, creative thought and exacting execution.

Staying in Belgravia

Neighbourhood Profile
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
