I dined here with my partner, and having read the TripAdvisor reviews we expected this to be a high quality restaurant in terms of food and service. First up, the positives. The place was cosy and beautifully decorated inside. The waiters were very attentive and polite - and were able to decipher some of the confusing language on the menu... More

We booked this restaurant after reading a review, and it was a very good experience, the staff were helpful, friendly, and the food was really lovely. There was no sense of rushing us whatsoever, well worth a visit.

The menu changes daily to reflect the best and freshest produce available, but what doesn't change is the approach to serving delicious, homely food with refinement in a comfortable, relaxed setting. Highlights of our dinner were brill served with sea vegetables and aioli, and onglet steak with pickled walnuts and perfect chips. The restaurant is now quite small (so worth... More

I have a few friends who are members so headed upstairs to join them for an afternoon snack and a couple of drinks. The 'light bites' menu is interesting and has a good selection. Good range of wines available so what ever your budget you can find something suitable. But the best thing about the visit was the staff. Reception,... More

The restaurant for the "no members" has just few tables, I've been there without reservation and i found a space just on the top of the bar. Starting from the fresh bread to the octupus salad the lunch started in the perfect way. I had guinea fowl as main and it was simply perfect...like also the dessert. Love it, better... More

Smaller than it was, now with only 7 tables at street level but a few more upstairs in the bar/club area if needed. At lunchtime the room was bright and airy with daylight through the windows. White table cloths and napkins complement the general impression of crispness. The menu give a wide choice between a set lunch, reasonable at £22.50... More

First of all I must state that my lunch was a prize in a charity auction . So that speaks volumes about a restaurant which clearly cares. The entrance was so pretty with armfuls of green foliage and the gorgeous dappled light through the stained glass windows. Lovely service, smart and smiling. Excellent bread raised our expectations very high and... More

I was given the opportunity to dine with my husband at Quo Vardis, in the Members lounge. The setting was lovely, comfy sofas and fire place roaring. The service was excellent. The menu was small but the selection was good, especially the fish dishes. I had the brill which was delicate and flavoursome and my husband had the onglet steak... More

I've been coming here since the 1970s and have seen it in all its different stages since then. I and a friend popped in for a pre-cinema dinner last week. The place was full and buzzing, the service fast and friendly and the meal delicious. We went off piste and had haggis & clapshot washed down with whisky. Then we... More

Quo Vadis is one of London’s most iconic restaurants, with its instantly recognisable facade and fascinating heritage. The “Grande Dame of Dean Street” has been around since 1926 and continues to be a Soho institution, beloved by local residents, foodies, regulars and tourists alike.

Restaurateur and food connoisseur brothers Sam & Eddie Hart took on the restaurant in 2008, and in 2012 the inimitable Jeremy Lee came on board as Chef Patron. Jeremy along with General Manager Andy Smyth, runs the building with charisma and charm.

The menu at Quo Vadis changes change daily according to the produce offered to Jeremy by his enviable list of suppliers, many of whom Jeremy has built up very close relationships with over the years. Seasonality and sourcing is of paramount importance to Jeremy and his kitchen.

Diners come to Quo Vadis to enjoy an eclectic array of dishes from the a la carte menu, which also features a popular Theatre Set menu that is available all day.

The succinct and reasonably priced wine list has been put together by Sam Hart and wonderfully compliments all aspects of the menu. Sam does not rely on names or reputations but chooses wines on whether he thinks the customers will enjoy drinking them. He likes to blind taste and tries to select wines that have a real sense of terroir and place and from those, where possible, he picks organic and biodynamic wines.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
