Granted , in a touristy area of covent garden - but really bad - teriyaki chicken is not what I tasted anywhere in the world , including Japan - just pieces of cooked then grilled chicken in quasi teriyaki sauce - tasteless. Miso soup ok.

Brought friends here for their first time. Great food, soup noodles, bento boxes, sushi and sashimi, no western dishes on offer here. It's small and compact and you might need to queue outside when they're busy as they don't take reservations, but it's worth the...More

Owned by Japanese. Food is authentic and delicious. We lived in Tokyo for 5 years and so this was a welcome discovery. The fried chicken (Karaage) was excellent. It is a small and tight restaurant. Just like Tokyo.

My son loves Japanese food so we were pleased to find this on trip advisor. Even though I was a student in London I find the tourist areas daunting - either too busy, or overprice and not good quality. This however was not the case...More

This small restaurant in China Town is just amazing. Dishes are simple, very traditional and well presented. Service is super welcoming and polite. Best sashimi of my life.

I have been going to Tokyo Diner regularly. I hadn’t been for a while but on our last visit I found quality had gone significantly down and the prices up. I had a fried chicken starter and the chicken was just about cooked. As main...More

I must have been here a hundred times, always having the chicken katsu don and spinach goma (though friends tell me the rest of their menu is great too!) An essential part of the west end.

It may not look like the most fancy or impressive place, but the food was amazing, the service was quick and unlike every other restaurants on a Friday evening, it managed to easily accommodate a group of 8 people. Everyone agreed the meal was fantastic...More
