There hasn't been a month after my initial discovery of Tokyo Diner where I've skipped on having my favourite ramen dish across the whole city. I'm not very big on soups in general but the kitsune soba ramen and the soup that goes with it...More

We came across Tokyo Diner while meandering through China Town. It was a great choice, as the options are authentic and great tasting. My two kids, ages 11 and 14, appreciated free option of extra rice. The service was good and prices expected.

Don’t be put off by the understate decor! This is a cost effective and deliciously authentic restaurant that is a must go if you want a meal that’s just like being in Japan. It’s very reasonably priced, the sushi is fresh, the udon and soba...More

Sunday evening. Short wait and then downstairs. Enough room. Pleasant service. Good selection of food. Fast service. Green tea included. Tasty.

Granted , in a touristy area of covent garden - but really bad - teriyaki chicken is not what I tasted anywhere in the world , including Japan - just pieces of cooked then grilled chicken in quasi teriyaki sauce - tasteless. Miso soup ok.

Owned by Japanese. Food is authentic and delicious. We lived in Tokyo for 5 years and so this was a welcome discovery. The fried chicken (Karaage) was excellent. It is a small and tight restaurant. Just like Tokyo.

My son loves Japanese food so we were pleased to find this on trip advisor. Even though I was a student in London I find the tourist areas daunting - either too busy, or overprice and not good quality. This however was not the case...More

Our favourite Japanese restaurant outside Japan. Just off Leicester Square it is in the perfect location. We've been coming here for 20 years and were delighted on this visit to see that it hasn't succumbed to tourism and has remained the same, a genuine Japanese...More
