If you want to test the rudest service, visit them. Filthy place. Council should start testing service standards for scores on doors & they would be shut in no time.

I went here with a group of friends on a Thursday night ~8pm. They were able to accommodate us (on our own table, contrary to previous revews!) even though the restaurant was pretty busy. Overall, the food is good for the money you pay. It's not traditional but it's fast, tasty and cheap. If you're looking for authentic Chinese then... More

I had a meal with few friends here and Found that they just sit you next to anyone and someone's else's family around a table. When the food was served they just threw the food at us and walked off. You can't reason with them and their behaviour is shocking. I thought it was a one off but others have... More

I visited here a few times many years ago, it's still around. You need to understand that this is not a posh eating place, it is rather like a canteen, but the food is good (not exceptional) and plentiful and cheap. We had the set menu B for 2 people which is 3 courses for £15 per person( starters, duck... More

Nice, cheap, great selection of Chinese food...the real Chinese food! It can be very crowded at lunch. They make you seat together to other unknown people :-D

This isn't a fancy place at all which is reflected in the price. Its the Nandos of Chinese food.Yes the staff are rude but that's funny to me as I don't take it personally. The food is hot and tasty this is great if you want a lot to eat and quickly. Take Cash.

Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch . Had the Mixed Seafood Crispy Noodles. Delicious & plentiful for £6.80. Went with two best friends, who recommended the Wong Kei & proved to be right. Got a friendly welcome. Restaurant was well run. Clean & spacious. Staff smiling & efficient. Will definitely eat there again.

Wanted a quick meal, so though we would visit. Was aware of food being quick and having eaten here before it is acceptable quality.. We were made to share tables. When we asked about a private table they said decide if you want to stay or go Were served a jug of tap water which was broken and cracked, proper... More

I've been going to Wong Kei(s) for over 25 years. If I'm with my misuse they'll send you upstairs and 'shock horror' you may have to sit with, cue spine-tingling, cheesy horror film music...... other people !?!?. This is normally on a large table, the people, if you've developed the social skills to speak to them, are normally very pleasant... More

Surly staff but the best Won Ton Noodle Soup this side of Kowloon. For £5 you can have a large bowl of Won Ton Noodle Soup which is filling and tasty. For a little extra, you can order slices of duck or some stir frieb vegetables. If you eat alone you may end up sharing a table with another customer... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
