Managed to book a table for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday and were very well looked after by the very professional staff. Sat in a booth at the rear with what appeared to be a mixture of locals and some families around us,...More

Had a lovely lunch, great service and food, cheese soufflé and sticky toffee pudding were tops, nothing to much trouble.

I visited the Abingdon for the first time - for lunch. It has a good ambience and is spacious. I felt the menu was a tad overpriced and the food was OK, if nothing special. I ordered a burger, which was of good quality but...More

Our hotel concierge recommended this when we asked for a Gastropub in the Kensington area. Got there without a reservation but were seated immediately. Good, efficient service, very nice wine list, good British food, well made, maybe lacking some special fireworks but good quality. My...More

After an initial awful service on my first visit my 2nd one went splendidly well. Service was of a high spec. Which was what i expected 1st time around. Will definitely be visiting again. Would like to thank polite staff who served me.

Excellent food and service. The restaurant is very nice. Wonderful the 28 days fillet, perfectly cooked. The same the vegetables served with a duck egg. At least we eaten a very good crème brulée.

Now more of a restaurant than a gastro pub, this is a pleasant and cheerful place which serves good food selected from an imaginative menu. Service is prompt and the bill quite reasonable by London standards.

This gastro pub gets a top vote from me. It is our local, it has very friendly staff, a great bar atmosphere, comfortable and loungy. Marvellous gin and tonics. The restaurant has a simple but very good menu. English/European/bit of Asian fusion.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

The eating area can be sectioned off I believe and it is an ideal wedding venue. Regrettably the facilities are in a basement down stairs, Hope this helps.

I don't remember seeing a child's menu. That said, we were 4 adults with a late dinner reservation and our biggest concern was that it took almost an hour for wine to be served and then even more time for the martini's... More
