I went to this restaurant late on a Sunday night, about 9:45. I was alone, but the Owner managed to find a single table for me. The menu is on the pricier side, but most importantly the food lives up to it. The latest time you can sit down is 10:45, they close at 11:30. I had a langostine starter,... More

A very busy noisy restaurant near to Harrods and this reflects in the price of the food. Food tasty but for some of the pasta dishes silly prices for simple food. A nice buz but a bit too noisy for me. The tables were also really squashed together. We were a large group and lucky enough for the bill to... More

I have been going to Scalinis over the last 15 years and it has never let us down. Buzzy atmosphere and fantastic Italian food. Pasta to dream about and the best Veal chop and Dover Sole in London.

We had a family dinner for four and enjoyed the food - it was very busy and quite noisy but the service was good. Lots of efficient staff and well cooked simple classic Italian food. Loved my liver!

Have been there with friends for both lunch and dinner. Excellent Italian food. Good wine list. Attentive but not obtrusive service. People obviously enjoying themselves so gets quite noisy when full. On the expensive side but very well worth it.

A delightfully warm authentically Italian restaurant. Playful and charming the older members of staff are masters at making you feel like old friends and most welcome. All the classic and favourite dishes you hope for are there amongst other current and modern dishes. The decor and ambience are low key elegant and the hum of conversation is lively but not... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
