Frontline is one of a few really nice restaurants in Paddington. Recently was refurbished and it offers a British menu with some international dishes. Quite busy for lunch with local businessman. The frontline club located above the restaurant, is a hub for photographers and people...More

Arriving with no table reservation on hot June evening we were given a warm welcome and were quickly seated. The menu and wine list offers a wide range of choice. As much as possible of the food is sourced from the owners own farm so...More

A delightfully cool and welcoming oasis when London was sweltering in 30 degrees. Excellent service and delicious food.

This was a casual dinner with my friend from Paris who was staying in Paddington. Having seen this place on a 'Daily Telegraph' list of great places to eat...we decided to give it a try. So: The actual restaurant is beautiful. Nicely laid out, stylish,...More

We found this place by chance, it was just around the corner from our hotel and we were looking for something a little special. From the moment we entered we were made to feel welcome and quickly given a table. The menu is not huge,...More

Looking for a decent restaurant around Paddington Station can be a challenge, so we ended up giving this place a try. Entering an empty restaurant and being met with bewildered looks by the staff when asking for a table without a reservation, didn't get us...More

While staying in the Hilton Metropole near Paddt Station, we wanted something close but not touristy. Around the corner from the Greene King pub, we found this gem, started over 10 years ago by a retired photojournalist with a sophisticated palate. Menu is relatively short...More

I have been going to the Frontline Club for events upstairs and also for good food. Lovely venue to hear interesting speakers on broad international topics - from North Korean defectors to American drone programs or climate change, there are movies and debates upstairs regularly....More

Recently refurbished by 2015 RIBA award-winning architects Skene Catling de la Peña and FAR Frohn & Rojas. The new look now features a long bar and a mezzanine level which seats up to 27 people and is available for private hire. The restaurant walls display some of the most iconic photographs of the 20th century, put together by LIFE picture editor John G. Morris. The menu is devised by Head Chef John Edwards (previously at Le Caprice and Soho House), and includes the best of British seasonal ingredients, much of which comes from the owners farm in Ellingham, Norfolk. The other produce is sourced from local, small businesses that retain the Club's high ethical and sustainable mindset. "Small, funky, very focused but rather cool," Peter York, The Independent "Knocks spots off the competition for value. In short, the Frontline is a staggering find: big, grown-up, lots of wood, but light and jolly with just a hint of foreign battles. Classy, but affordable enough to enjoy every day." Giles Coren, restaurant review in The Times.
