My 3rd trip to L'Atelier but my first time at the open table surrounding the centre piece kitchen area. Enjoyed the evening with it's casual and busy ambience. The staff seemed to enjoy their food preparations/performances. Food was excellent but pricey so will return if not immediately.

On a college reuinion after 35 years, 6 girlfriends converged in London from various parts of the world. Except for me, the rest werevegetarian with no egg, onions or garlic in their diets. Calling a month ahead, one of the women, whose son is a five star chef in Bangkok, made it possible for us to get a great table... More

My Girlfriend and I had a fantastic meal here served in a very unique setting. We went for the 4 course set Lunch where every course was superb and substantial but not overly so where we left feeling like we'd over done it.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is a wonderful restaurant right in the heart of London. Spread over three floors, the interior is elegant, sleek and sophisticated. The staff are polite & friendly. The menu is excellent - food & drink and the bar upstairs on the 3rd floor is a "well kept London secret"! Most highly recommended - for a wonderful,... More

The venue is stunning and with the main kitchen as a centrepiece, it creates an amazing theatre! A huge thanks to all of the staff who made us feel very welcome. You can see they all enjoy working there and it was a pleasure to talk to everyone during the meal. A special thank you to the head chef, who... More

This was our second meal here. The first was the pre-theatre set while this was from the main menu. Excellent menu choices, great food and outstanding service. Pricey, yes. But a nice treat!

We showed up at 1pm on Sunday without reservation and a pushchair. From the moment we entered the place the service was absolutely faultless. They found us a very good table in a corner to keep the pushchair and the baby sleeping next to us. Decor is slightly overengineered, and very dark (which worked perfectly for us). View of the... I loved this restaurant. Its look is modern and funky, the staff were friendly and relaxed but extremely professional, and the food was to die for. It thoroughly deserves its Michelin star - but is not pretentious in any way at all. We sat at the bar and chatted to our neighbours (though this isn't compulsory obviously!) and watched the... I can't ever say enough about any of Joel Robuchon's restaurants, and, quite honestly, there really aren't words to describe what he accomplishes so simplistically with food. We went for pre-theater and birthday dinner and the staff was attentive, quick and accommodating. The food was outstanding. You must be prepared to spend a small fortune to dine at any Robuchon... Description
Drawing on Joel Robuchon's internationally renowned culinary expertise, already accredited with several Michelin Stars at restaurants throughout the world, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon's philosophy is based on serving simple cuisine of the most exceptional quality. This London restaurant has been awarded Michelin Star, as well as 3 AA Rosettes, establishing it as one of the most exceptional places to dine in London. Robuchon's menu delights the palate with clean insightful flavours and refreshingly understated presentation. The dishes are predominantly French with Italian and Spanish influences. The dining experience at L'Atelier is an interactive one. On the ground floor, the eating counter surrounds the entire kitchen where the food is prepared. Robuchon sees the immediate benefit of this Japanese-inspired layout to chefs, as one can gauge the reaction of clients, and even converse with them whilst they watch their food being prepared. Unlike the sister restaurants in Paris and Tokyo, the London restaurant also has another 20 seats where diners can sit opposite each other. Meanwhile, La Cuisine on the first floor offers more traditional restaurant seating in a setting that could be likened to dining in the kitchen itself. Wherever you are seated you will enjoy the highest quality food in an informal, convivial environment. Valet parking is also available. Please note, last reservations are taken half an hour prior to closing time. Dress code: Smart Casual, shorts are not permitted.
