I had booked a table for 10 and on arrival our table was ready and we were greeted warmly. Orders were taken promptly and our food arrived in good time. The Koobideh, barg and joojeh were all good. The only below par dish was the Chenjeh, where most other Iranian restaurants serve plump juicy pieces of lamb that are melt... More

I came here for a meal with my family after a long day of shopping, as it was recommended by my sister, who is a big fan of Persian cuisine. Hafez is located just slightly off the beaten track in Notting Hill, and as soon as we entered we were impressed by the entertaining decor, with household objects (kitchenware and... More

The focus is on the quality and not quantity. Price is decent and service is great. Highly recommend to try their khoreshteh fesenjan

I have been here several times and I admit that it is One of the best Persian restaurants in London. The interior is gorgeous and the meal stay at above average standard always and consistent , consider this as an Iranian who doesn't believe anyone cook better than their mom .

The only negative was the service which could have been more attentive. The drinks were also slow to arrive and the waitress unfriendly. Otherwise, very tasty food - the chicken and lamb skewers were both incredibly moist and flavoursome. Generous portion sizes and good value for money. Definitely worth checking out.

Ordered the selection of five starters. Waiting staff were very friendly, and also flexible in letting us chose which starters to include in selection. Portions were good, but more importantly the food was good and was fresh! The aubergine starters we had were both very nice and so were the fresh herbs, walnuts, cheese and radish. The bread was good... More

Went as a party on Friday night to celebrate Nowruz and a birthday. Shared a selection of starters which were indifferent. For mains my husband and I both had a lamb and peppers dish, which was dishwater tasteless. Our daughter is vegetarian and was served a meat dish by mistake, she returned it and got exactly the same dish with... More

Not all the staffs in this restaurant finished the charm academy. I don't want to be too critical but their behaviour is between acceptable to rude. So don't expect a warm welcome if they don't know you. The food was good but nothing to sing and dance about it in this four-seater restaurant. If I lived locally it would be... More

Had a quick bite, lucky to get a place - reservation recommended, at least on a Friday night. Nice interior, but it does get noisy. Had a very tasty smoked aubergine starter, generous portion af very good lavash bread, and a generous portion av their signature dish (chicken in pomegranate/walnut sauce). Too full to have desert... The only thing I... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
