We had a very good evening, Lovely food, crab ravioli was wonderful as was the risotto. Great sitting outside with all the Christmas lights and the service was excellent. Deserts were equally delicious, the cheesecake with passion fruit was to die for. However, please look at the state of your toilets. we visited the loo twice over the evening and... More

Absolutely love the Piccolino in Alderley Edge, but the Heddon Street restaurant doesn't quite cut it in the same way. It's in a great location of course - "the Regent Street food quarter" - great music and atmosphere when sat outside on a warm summer's afternoon/evening. The food and service were just average though. Not too bad a place to... More

Didn't realised instead of getting an Italian restaurant I got the fawlty towers dining experience. It started off badly with food order taken and for an hour no food. There was a glitch with the tablet they used, so half the restaurant had nothing. Bread never arrived, but they still tried to charge. My food was good, but my wife's... More

The waiter managed to forget parts of our order. Not that it mattered much. The food was mediocre and could not justify the price. Then they screwed up the bill. Nice location though. Pro-tip: stay away.

The restuarant looked so nice from outside so decided to try it. I chose lazagna and my companion chose spagetti and meatballs, I was informed by the waiter that the lazagna would be a very small portion when I asked why he had no explanation just said that's how it comes!! Anyway I went for it and we had a... More

I have been to a number of Piccolino's across London and Manchester and this was without doubt the poorest experience I have had. The food was nice, however the service was very poor. The waitress was rude a number of times, cleared the plates away before our party had all finished and left the bill on our table for far... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
