Very disappointing. I invited my friends and was embarrassed by the poor quality of the restaurant. The service was non existent. We waited 30 minutes before anyone approached us and that was to take our order rather than ask if we wanted drinks. We gave our order then 2 other waitresses arrived to ask us if we were ready to... I first visited this restaurant more than 30 years ago. The decor has changed but the standard of cooking is still good...not amazing...but above average. The service was excellent. It was early in the week and lunchtime but surprisingly the main restaurant was almost empty. I'm told it is very busy at weekends and has a good vibe but on... More

We had a great dinner on Saturday, very well looked after by Ghigo, Patrizia and the team. Bellini and Aperol cocktails, delicious octopus carpaccio to start, then pasta with John Dory filling, spicy pizza with perfect thin crust, two glasses of Chianti and a shared Serena dessert. Service was great, atmosphere relaxed in both downstairs rooms. Meanwhile a big party... More

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic meal here last night. The Aubergine and Buffalo mozzarella starter was divine, followed by a very tasty wild boar and mushroom pasta. Lovely wines at reasonable prices and perfect tiramisu and cheeses. You feel transported to Italy for the evening. Ghigo the owner showed us round the rest of the restaurant and was... More

Lunch for 5 on a very busy day. Welcome was professional and friendly - they had accommodated a change in numbers without problem. Very good prosecco, beautifully cooked fish, the best steaks two of our party had ever tasted, very good service with no faffing, good coffee and nice grappa to finish. Not cheap but very good value, we'll be... More

Yesterday we had a work celebration at our local go-to restaurant. Top class friendly service, beautiful and original canapes and very nice wines. A definite recommendation for a business lunch or romantic dinner

Myself and partner live in Wimbledon and have worked our way round nearly all of the restaurants . Calamari was dry and lacked flavour for £15 price tag. The cod was average at best . Lots of great feeds around wimbledon for better value. Can't win them all I guess . Modest British review ! Hence the middle 3 stars... More

Dear Beno19821 Thank you for rating us 3 stars. I guess it's what we deserved on this occasion. I think it's a bit unfair of you to inflate the price we charge for calamari, even if only by a psychologically persuasive 50p. Unlike many other establishments, we use whole, fresh calamari, rather than much cheaper, frozen, pre-cleaned, treated and ready... More

A very pleasant Italian restaurant in the centre of Wimbledon. A select menu and the fish is excellent. You don't often find John Dory in London. The staff are helpful.

I had a dinner in San Lorenzo last saturday. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was excellent. The food was amazing. I had pappardelle, which was one of the best pasta i ever had. My friends enjoyed the pizza. The waiting staff looked after us very well. We will come back for sure!
