I have always liked this place but at the moment (May 2017) it is under major renovation and is operating from a small temporary meeting room in the Apex Hotel. The food is still really good - no complaints there at all - they do a mean Scotch egg and their steaks and burgers are exceptional. Its just a pity... More

Excellent food and amazing value for money (we have a 50% off thing from opentable). The portion sizes were large. The prawns were juicy and tender. The duck croquettes were large and lovely. We had the mussels in the starters and that was well cooked. Shame the carpaccio wasn't available on the day of my visit though. The fish and chips... More

Only one other family was in the restaurant, so it was very intimate. We walked here for lunch after visiting the Tower of London (5 minute walk). Salmon dish and Steak dishes were great.

Best beef fillet capacious I've ever had. Amazing tagliatelle with beef ragu and Plum and Almond Tart. Not a scrap of it disappointed.

We stayed in the hotel and ate breakfast here every morning. It was very good, though it can get very busy.

With London essentially shut down for Christmas, our options were limited and the hotel had a special Christmas dinner menu at Addendum. I had the salmon and chowder - it was great. Two had the traditional turkey dinner, and it felt like home to them. My son thought the steak was cooked perfectly - not easy with a set menu.... More

This restaurant, part of the Apex hotel, was a place I walked past many a time and finally thought I would give it a go with a friend for an early evening meal. Place was nice and quiet but started to fill up later. Simple layout and minimal decor gives it a clean fresh feel. Meals are al a carte... More

The Addendum Restaurant will never disappoint for dining quality. Great selection of choices, flavors are delectable, and very convenient if you are staying at the Apex City of London Hotel. However, we did find the breakfast menu a bit 'pricey'.

Went there on a 50% open table discount . 90 % of the starters were off the menu! The food that we did have was distinctly below average to match the service. The duty manager did offier the wine on the house. I would rather have gone to McDonald's at the price we paid.

The dining room itself is a simple pleasure. Understated, contemporary decor & subdued lighting will immediately make you feel relaxed. The sense of style and intimacy grows, whether you choose to sink into an opulent leather booth, or, if you are part of a larger party, opt for a more open space.

Drawing on our Chef's extensive experience, the menu has been seducing an ever-increasing crowd of gastronomic disciples since its launch at the end of 2005. Offering an array of modern dishes, he puts the accent on the finest seasonal ingredients available. It is easy to see why the restaurant has already received awards since opening.

For al fresco dining at lunch ask to be seated at the front of the hotel, overlooking tranquil gardens, the area is light and airy, boasting fully opening, double height, floor-to-ceiling windows.

An extensive wine list along with superb service and glamorous surroundings makes the restaurant an ideal venue for every occasion.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
