Normally establishments that can't make up their mind what they want to be, fail at being anything at all. Troubadour, however, succeeds at adapting its character depending on the time of day and the vibe of the crowd. The food is great, the service very...More

Quirky, friendly, soulful place. Absolute gem. Seems to be frequented by a lot of regulars which is a great sign too.

Our kids booked reservations for my wife as it was her birthday. They made these reservations from Canada without any difficulties. Staff were more than helpful. As for us, the Fish &Chips we're outstanding. Again, the staff were more than helpful with suggestions not only...More

What a great venue. We went to see our friends who play in a Latin-influenced string quartet called Santiago Quartet. We didn’t use the ground floor bar at all but the subterranean gig venue is superb. Lots of atmosphere and history, a wall of old...More

A class music venue! We were so lucky and proud to have been able to see a great friend play here. What a great venue. Good drinks and easy to get to. Will be back.

We were staying nearby and stopped for a drink on the way back to the hotel after a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Lovely atmosphere and decor with a reasonable range of drinks although limited beer range for any beer drinkers. There was live...More

Knowing the history of the Troubadour, I must say that it does not rest on its laurels, which it could very easily have done, what with the likes of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix and numerous others having performed there during the...More

14.50burger + 1.50 for the cheese??? What a rip off. The taste was really average. 5/10. Meat was overcooked, thin fries and no sauce on a side...I except to get much better meal for £16. Not coming back again for sure.

I think if you go here for the food you'll be sorely disappointed. This is a great venue to catch-up with friends or having a drink, but the food is average at best or just downright poor. I love the ambience and drinks selection but...More

'With more soul than a millipede wearing size 17 boots, ceilings and walls strewn with the instrumental heirlooms of a bygone bohemia, this 50s cafe screams throw-back. Successfully and audaciously blending 50s coffee bar, wine bar, club, music venue and breakfast bar with an easy smoothness, this live music haven is the cornerstone of Old Brompton Road, which has refreshingly resisted the modern humdrum of high street homogeny. Comfort and conviviality ooze as you can sup European classic wine offerings or New World fare, nurse a hot chocolate or bury your face in an omelette big enough to swallow you whole.' Alex HomerThe Troubadour, established in 1954, has gently expanded to include a larger cafe and live music club, an award winning garden, a specialist wine shop and comfy wine bar, a great gallery for exhibitions and parties and lastly a luxurious serviced appartments, The Garret, at the top of the building & The Eleanor on the floor below. A great place to relax while the world passes you by....
