Firstly, the food was incredible. There's no denying that. However, from the moment we walked in, the whole customer service experience was surly and unpleasant. 1) The male host greeted us like we'd caught him on his day off, and rudely responded to our question as to whether there was space for two by just pointing us to the back.... The order arrived promptly, however the mixed grill £15.95, the Iskender £14.95-(Not cheap) food was cold and half a portion size, which was very disappointing. The rice was also half a portion size and dry, which I chucked away, so too was the bread, which appeared to have just been reheated. Overall not value for money at all; i will... More

Had lunch here when 'escaped' from the Royal Free one day. Just what the doctors should have ordered rather than the hospital food that probably slows down healing. Anyway, everything was fresh and tasty, good Turkish food. The service was a little slow, but that suited what we wanted. Would go back when feeling better.

I regularly drop in to this delightful neighborhood restaurant to see if this accolade of 'Best Mixed Grill in London' still holds. I am not surprised to report that it does!

The atmosphere inside is great, the place is very well decorated. The food was nice, but small portions. The waiter who attended to us needs to learn some manners. Not one smile.

We love Zara and come here often as a family. I have eaten in many Turkish restaurants, including in Turkey and the food here is authentic and tasty. I usually have the Lamb Iskendar but the chicken shish is good too. I also love the Shepherd salad, Tabouleh, and Houmous. The house red is excellent too. The staff always remember... More

Excellent food, friendly service, pleasant ambience. Couldn't fault it. The mezes were clearly freshly made with wonderful bright taste.

A little restaurant with vibrant atmosphere near Hampstead Heath. Served nice authentic food. Got free turkish coffee treat for our table when we had lunch there!

Three of us ate at Zara on a Friday evening. We'd not booked but they found us a table. The food was good without being exciting, there's plenty of it. Service is excellent and attentive, there are some interesting Turkish wines to sample. All in all a pleasant evening.

Zara has a lovely vibe - friendly, charming; authentic. A real 'local' atmosphere. We chose a few different items for our lunch. While they were ok, the food just wasn't delicious enough and we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, won't be back.

Thank Matvl
