I visited the Marylebone branch today. I wish I had not. The staff are just chaotic. The queue to sit inside was very long so I asked if I could sit outside for a much needed sit down. I ordered a cappuccino and a pastry, and was told to go and sit down. Someone came out with a serviette and... More

The breads in Le Pain Quotidien really are fantastic and the croissants are tasty. Great soup too. The location on Marylebone High Street is great and we met a friend with her baby. It's not a huge place but everyone was very accommodating of the pram. Staff are friendly and service was quick. Lovely for lunch and I'll go back... More

This place is always busy. It offers a variety of different breads and their cakes and scones are fantastic. My favourite is the cream tart with berries. I also enjoyed the salmon with quinoa & salad. There are specials that vary from day to day.

Visited on Sunday with friends, and really enjoyed the cheeseboard with red wine! The veggie and vegan selection is big, they have more than enough gluten free options as well. The service was nice overall but a little slow... they staff seemed to be too busy talking and standing around... ain't got problems with that but don't do it next... More

Our second visit for breakfast and I loved it more than the first time. Super healthy breakfast with great cups of tea.

We stop here most times we're in the area and have never been disappointed. The menu changes almost daily and always has interesting dishes to offer most palates. The service is good and the prices OK.

it feels like you're eating in a boulangerie- it feels warm and welcoming enough. Very nice selection of drinks. We had some sort of cider that was amazingly good like juice but it was with alcohol. Food was very nice for a quick lunch.

I asked on arrival if I could sit in the cafe area for a coffee and croissant with a dog on a lead and was told yes. A short while later another member of staff approached and told me dogs not allowed and I'd have to leave. I explained that I had asked on arrival. She said that the other... More

Healthy hungover breakfast! They had the eggs I fancied when I fancied them. A nice spot for any time of the day!

My wife and I were in the area to visit a local bookstore, and then to have a quick lunch. We were with a family member who visits London regularly and has done so for several decades now. This was one of her favorite places for lunch in the area. We all left wondering what could have gone wrong and... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
