What can we say - we had great tapas from the amazing menu selection and both of us said it was one of the most enjoyable eating experiences we had had in London and certainly one of the best value meals too. This venue has...More

We have been coming here on and off for several years now and it has been brilliant every time. As vegetarians we find the selection both varied and tasty - the pan con alioli, pimiento relleno and croquettas and Spanish omelette are our favourites. And...More

El Pirata possibly is a little off the main path - well 5 minutes walk from Hyde Park Corner- but well worth the effort. The set tapas meals are excellent value, the specials looked tempting but we just cherry picked of a large menu offering...More

Located in a quiet street off Piccadilly this long established small restaurant continues to offer fantastic tapas at great value. I have been coming here for over 20 years, the staff always give a friendly welcome and the whole experience is very civilised.

El Pirata is a bustling restaurant in Mayfair that has an excellent wine list and serves above average tapas at reasonable prices. I had 4 plates and each were very nice without being memorable. Staff are very friendly. Would visit again.

The food is quite simply, the best tapas I’ve had outside of Spain. Authentic, well seasoned dishes in reasonable portions and at a good price. Good variety. Friendly, attentive staff. Music is kept as a low accompaniment to the warm atmosphere, not disruptive or obtrusive....More

Set beside some of London's best parks and home to
world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed
thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of
London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is
haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is
vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic
streets will reveal that Michelin stars and
chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even

Each dish ranges from £5-£8. If you order 5-6 dishes per couple, you would spend approx £40-£50 excluding drink i.e.£20-£25 pp.Better select ala carte than set menu.since there is a god range to select from.

Critically acclaimed Spanish tapas restaurant El Pirata opened its doors in 1994. Tucked away in the corner of Mayfair next to Hyde Park, El Pirata has become a firm favourite for those wanting an authentic Spanish experience. Relax at the superb mirrored bar with a drink or two whilst enjoying the atmosphere of the Spanish influenced decor. Whether upstairs or downstairs, you can enjoy the Tapas menu where each dish is individually priced, or if you’re not too familiar with Tapas, choose from our two fantastic set menus. At lunchtimes enjoy our special lunch menu which offers great value; two tapas dishes, a bread roll and alioli plus a soft drink or a glass of wine for just £10.25 – great value! Downstairs is ideal for parties and gatherings of up to 60 people. If you prefer a private area for either that important business dinner or a more romantic setting for that more intimate meal, you will find our two private alcoves perfect. When the weather’s at its best, our four outside tables are an instant hit, but you’ll have to be early because they are snapped up fast!
