Nice bar, friendly staff with contemporary music. Ideally get a main road facing table so you can see the world go by. Good collections of beers, but not a place to drink alone. Ideal for groups and particularly on weekends. Can be quite dead on week days.

Went to Rileys one Friday night before the theatre. It was empty which should have been a warning for us! The restaurant is dirty, the loos are disgusting and the food is bad. We ordered steak wraps which turned out to be inedible as the steak was very gristly. The wine ordered was warm and the service slow. There are... More

Everything was lacking from appearance once inside, food and staff. Garlic bread came with my meal, except it wasn't garlic on the bread it was sweet chilli sauce!! Pasta was really salty so not able to really eat much of it though, the chicken that was with it was just about edible. Did tell the waiter, he said he would... More

We attending between 1:00pm -... More

This was the first bar & meet up point for an organised Halloween 👻 Night costume party/pub crawl, the venue itself was decently situated & had been decorated/trimmed up for the Halloween event so I couldn't honestly say what the decor & layout usually look like. The atmosphere was excellent & the majority of the staff members were polite &... More

I am amazed a big company like Riley's have allowed standards to drop like this. Hardly any cues to play with, what there was were in poor condition. Floors sticky. Smelly. Very dirty. Snooker cloths stained and ripped. But on the plus side they were painting the toilet door! As if that makes the place better. The place is a... More

Attended an excellent event held in the private bar upstairs held by Eclipse Sports Promotions to celebrate the final match at Upton Park. Staff & food were both excellent.

You can't knock the place if you want a beer and to watch the game, with TVs everywhere there's always one in your eyeline. The service from the staff was pretty good they were always on hand to get us another drink however I do not recommend eating the food is terrible! We ordered chicken fingers which was supposed to... Good place to watch sports or play ping pong/pool. Service was just okay. Nice to place to go with a group. Not really great for a date night. Had the fish and chips which wasnt pretty good. All in all, its your basic sports bar, nothing facy.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
