We discovered Antonios while walking up Upper Street looking for a bite to eat one evening with family. We did not know what to expect and I am a very picky restaurant guest! It was fantastic, great menu, classic authentic Italian dishes with regional dishes thrown in and this goes for the wine menu also. We enjoyed it so much... More

We took 5 Norwegians for dinner there and from the other reviews we must have been in an alternative restaurant / universe. We were seated in cramped conditions considering the restaurant was half empty. The service was non commital and the food was quite pricey for the quality. Maybe we should try it again as it could be a one... More

I had one of the tastiest meals here of this trip to London, and we ate out the whole weekend. The decor and atmosphere was great, and we were very impressed with the service. Having just spent two weeks in Italy, we enjoyed this Italian food better than some of the restaurants we had been to in Florence. My home... More

We arrived early but were shown our table immediately. We were asked if we had a theatre booking, so they could serve us quickly but we had no time constraints. We ordered a bottle of the red wine of the week, which was very nice. We ordered four different starters which were all very good and my mussels were superb.... More

What an absolute gem. Living in London most of my life I can't believe I've never visited before. I went with girlfriends and it couldn't have been more ideal. We had the antipasti platter to share followed by pasta (seafood pasta special and the squid ink tagliatelle) and they were all fantastic. They have a good wine selection, reasonably priced... More

A charming Italian restaurant with lovely food, lovely atmosphere & lovely staff. The food was of excellent quality, sizable portions on all the dishes, as well as fantastic value for money. Well worth a visit.....you won't be disappointed.

Nice decor upstairs. Service started off well, with friendly waiters showing us to our table. Little did we know...After that the service was very, very slow. We had to ask for things more than once in some occasions (I was billed for an extra beer which I'd actually never got), and had to wait an age for everything. The 2... More

Antonio's is hidden away in an alley off Upper Street, so it's easy to miss. I've been there several times over the past year, both alone and with friends, and it's become my favorite Italian bistro in Islington and maybe in all of London. Best dishes are the spaghetti carbonara and the pappardelle con sugo di cinghiale, and the pizza... More

Description
Antonio’s Ristorante is a family owned Italian restaurant on Upper Street in Islington one of London restaurants most popular eating and drinking destinations. From the beginning the aim has been to provide good quality homemade Italian food and to create a memorable experience for our guests in a happy and cosy environment. At Antonio's we believe in informal but excellent service. When it’s comes to cookery Antonio who was born in England & father is from Calabria, South Italy believes in a good quality but basic concept with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of flavour.
