We loved this place. The server told us “we’re not about music or decor...it’s all about the food”. And the food was incredible. We had quail, foie gras and more. Highly recommend.

Haven't been for years. Not much has changed. Still doing small plates and large ones, speciaĺs on a board (almost all of which were gone by 8.30 when we sat down). Quail to start was succulent heaven. My dining companion's pork was too fatty. Good...More

A very enjoyable breakfast of smoked crispy pigs cheeks, and in comparison to other breakfast venues in the area it was also good value for money. The pigs cheeks were superb and I'd definitely have them again.

Not far from Aldgate East, this restaurant has a starter menu more comprehensive than the list of main courses. With an impressive wine list and unusual selections ,such as deep fried kid, this is a great place for a leisurely lunch with friends.

When in St.John, one should order the bacon sandwich. It’s their most popular dish and words can’t describe its taste! Very relaxing place, excellent staff and they really know their dishes. I visit st.John each time I’m in London.

There were just three of us on a quiet night out but... the food and service made it a night we won’t forget. Our starters included the quail which was perfectly cooked and seemed to have more meat than most quails! The signature dish of...More

I had been longing to try this restaurant for a long time, and I was not disappointed! I booked for a early reservation after a hairdressing appointment next door... I was dining alone, and so could totally concentrate on the food! I had the mussels...More

Food was delicious as always. Was disappointed by how dirty the WC was in such a nice and kind if expensive restaurant

For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its
most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the
next big global trend, the hipster zone of
Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around
the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain
hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers
throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting
some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Well, it is London... you can and should come as you are, really. But, make an effort. As you would when dining out. This place is casual though, not super-posh. And it is in East London, meaning, you probably wouldn't look... More
