Visited on Friday evening for bottle of wine and bar snacks. Decent enough place with lively atmosphere in small environment. Extremely unhappy about the service charge though. I stood patiently at the bar and then placed my order as no one came to our table yet was charged 12.5% service fee ??? Since I was sat at the table right... More

This place has a very lively atmosphere, good drinks and the food can be very good. The general sharing platters are good, the pizzas are very good indeed. A good place for a post work dinner and drink. Very good value

Was here yesterday for a working business lunch. I'd never been and the booking was made by someone else. The food was good, we ordered pizza breads, steak & chip salad, calzone and onion and goats cheese pizza. All were good. Service was terrible, and we waited ages for drinks and attention - when the waiter came over he wasn't... More

I'd worked in the city for over 40 years and was a patron of this restaurant when it first opened liking the ' freshness ' of the venue, menu and staff. It was with some disappointment therefore when I went back there with 4 friends for lunch last week. The place had not really changed. The menu was very similar... More

Had lunch here recently which was really disappointing. We opted for the surf and turf salad signature dish at £17 each which consisted of just salad leaves with two prawns cooked in oily breadcrumbs and a couple of miniscule slices of beef. We ordered some bread which came in at £4 with a bottle of house rose total £65. What... More

Visited on a very quiet Monday evening on Time Out 'two pizzas for £12:50' deal. It's a lovely restaurant and service was efficient and friendly. Pizza menu was interesting and a bit different - but they arrived a bit too quickly! Pizzas were extremely hard to cut and not very warm.. served on cold plates too. Our impression was that... More

Nothing special.....nice location. Old Menù .i ve been there more than 3 times and I didn t see any news. I tried pizza but was really bad.i think the worstest in London. The chefs know what they want because of their belly fat.

My wife and I had a very pleasant lunch at Rocket. Though the starters sound appetising, there is really no need to indulge, as the main courses are large (and well priced), especially the pizzas. There was a good ambience in the restaurant since there were a smattering of xmas parties taking place at the same time. Tables too close... More

Business lunch with colleague - pizza and their "signature rare-roast beef salad and chips". Friend liked his pizza, I thought the salad was a bit boring - beef good, chips average and the salad had no dressing. Service a bit perfunctory, although the female staff member at the end was much more friendly. I might return to try something different... More

Visited here several times and always enjoyed the food. During our last visit my husband ordered the lamb skewer, it was delicious but... It was beef. Not a problem but we pointed this out to the waitress and also left some of the meat. What I found disappointing was the waitress returning to our table to say "the kitchen have... More

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
