Just had a wonderful experience once again in one of my favourite London haunts! Being in Covent Garden, what can I say, but magical; lovely pleasant and efficient staff keen to advise. A glass or two of a Reserve Cape Leopard Merlot to wash down a delicious bangers and mash has just made my day. The ambience created by the... More

We visited Crusting Pipe yesterday, the 21st of February, for brunch with my adult daughter and her friend, who live in Whitechapel. As it had been my birthday two days previously and we'd had such a lovely time so far (Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf at The Harold Pinter the night before - incredible), we decided to have some Buck's... Stumbled across this little eatery looking for somewhere to eat on a ravenous stomach...very cosy & vibrant... My meal was just lovely...had the Asparagus with Jamon & Poached Egg then the crispy Duck Confit washed down with a rosè...an accompaniment of 'slam violins' outside in the Piazza topped it all off...

The last time we visited and reviewed The Crusting Pipe I expressed slight reservations. That said we decided to visit again and am glad that we did. Certainly it was a return to form and we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal accompanied by delicious wine. Once again happy to recommend.

When we come to the Crusting Pipe, it's for cheese. The servings this time were much smaller than previous visits (the price was not) but the cheese itself was still good - the Stinking Bishop is always a winner. The service was disappointing, abrupt and a bit unwelcoming. Sure, you get a lot of tourists here, but if you can't... More

Came to the restaurant with my best friend as it was her birthday . We have a delicious grilled salmon and my friend's son had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Absolutely fabulous and we plan to come again. Entertainment in the Courtyard was especially enjoyable.

This is one of the first places I ate at in London in 1990! Loved it and always went back for a meal anytime I was in London. But my last visit was in 2002 and boy has the place changed in 2017!. It used have sawdust on the floor, you ordered your meal at the bar. Now they have... More

Very friendly and accommodating staff, and reasonable prices. I did not purchase alcoholic beverages but enjoyed tea and later a two cheese platter (British cheeses) and both were great quality. My mother recommended the place as she had purchased alcoholic beverages before, and we would both return in the future

We had a great tasting seafood linguine. Pasta cooked very well and the prawns and scallops were excellent. Great carafe of chardonnay to wash it down. The ambience made it special Service attentive but not intrusive. Price ok considering location. Would use again as the menu promised more good tasting food.
