My wife and I went to this small restaurant with the sushi conveyor for lunch. The variety was good, everything tasted fresh and good and it was reasonably priced too. We both enjoyed the simple decor and service. The food was simply plated. I would have liked some demonstration of Japanese aesthetics and flair...but I still give it five stars.... More

Kulu kulu is always a safe choice for a quick lunch or dinner. Also great when eating alone. They offer a small variety of sushi, sashimi and cooked japoneses dishes. The aubergine it's a must! Fresh fish at good prices. The service is always attentive and good.

The place is small, but we had no trouble to get two places by the conveyor belt. The variety of dishes was quite nice and except for one plate, all the plates are very tasty.

We visited this restaurant for lunch after a few hours around the natural history museum. They have a carousel for the sushi which is always good fun. The food was really good and they were happy to make sushi that was a bit different to the menu which was great as my son lives plain prawn sushi. The price was... More

I am usually very suspicious about sushi trains as I have always assumed that the food quality was lower than in a normal restaurant. This is definitely not the case with this place. The quality and taste are pretty good, the food that is not consumed is removed from the train after a while (max 20 minutes I would say)... More

Staying in Kensington and consulted TripAdvisor to find a sushi restaurrant. This one had good reviews and seemed good value for money, something that is not always common in London. It is located om South Kensington, not an area I associate with good value, and easily accessed by Tube. It is a small place, but my friend and I got... More

This concept is really cool and the sushi was great, especially the cones and the rolls with avocado and salmon. You simply pick whatever you wan't from the band, keep the plates and pay in the end by counting the value of the plates. It's easy to count for how much you've eaten with different patterns on the plates standing... More

The food's not going to win any awards but it's perfectly good sushi, sashimi and Japanese fare in busy, cozy and buzzy premises - a constant queue at lunchtime when we visited attests to its popularity. Teenage daughter (a big sushi fan) loved the food and the conveyor belt of dishes. Good value for money.

We've been going to this place for a few years and its probably the nicest place to have sushi in london. The food is so simple, but delicious. The salmon is incredibly fresh and the prawn tempura is full of flavour. It's really nice to have a break from the eccentric and pampering style of lots of restaurants in london.... More

I've always been fascinated by the conveyor belt sushi concept, so this was a fun place to try. Tiny place with fresh sushi made in front of you, though not by a Japanese sushi chef so that was kind of a miss for me. Also, not a huge selection of different sushi types on the belt at once, but I'm... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
