An absolute joke of a restaurant. Arrived late. But 45 mins before official close. Ate and was offered final beer. Within 5 mins of pouring was asked to leave. Manager was obnoxious, rude and childish. Avoid this place if good food and service matter.

Dear Customer Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. However, please note that you did arrive at 11.30pm. We did explain to you that the kitchen is closed but you insisted and asked nicely, we couldn't say no! We asked the kitchen to stay open even though they were ready to leave. After making... More

We have been going to TT for many many years now. Impeccable food, impeccable service and most importantly it's a place where you can bring the whole family... If you haven't been, you must visit.

We dined here early on Saturday evening and the food was pretty poor. My wife's main dish tasted overwhelmingly of cinnamon and nothing else and pilau rice that came with my dish had obviously been re-heated as it had gone solid in one part. Drinks were warm and the experience was generally poor. Nothing terrible just nothing to write home... More

Corrr as in 'Cor what a lovely place'... The food never disappoints. (Always delicious), the service is great, the welcome is always the warmest...it's local restaurants like this that need to be supported. I've been coming with the same group of friends for 8years, and will continue to do so...and the delivery service is always prompt and efficient...go, go, go!

We live close by, so TT is super-convenient but, it's the quality of their curries that keeps us loyal. One of the best Jalfrezi's I've had, usually (OK, always) complemented with palak paneer and lemon rice. I don't typically stick to one dish, but I'm hooked on this one. Their menu is extensive though, and their delivery service reliable. You'll... More

There's always a warm welcome at Tower Tandoori - the service, décor, music and atmosphere are top notch. Love their curries, particularly anything with lamb in. And there's no better way to cool down after a spicy main course than with a lemon or orange surprise.

Highly recommend the tandoori dishes. One of the longest burning clay ovens in London. Service is always top notch.

I'll go again. And again. We had paneer palak and aloo palak. Tasty, not oily. Saffron rice was lightly spiced. Liked music in background and decoration. Only negative side was a poor Indian chai.

Description
Tower Tandoori is the oldest Indian restaurant in Bermondsey and still uses a traditional, charcoal-fired tandoor lit in 1978 and still smouldering! Established in the same site on Tower Bridge Road and run by the same family for 30 years, the Indian tandoori cuisine at Tower Tandoori is truly refined. Recently refurbished with an interior design inspired by the shady, serene courtyards of Indian Palaces, Tower Tandoori's menu has also had an overhaul. The Head Chef has drawn his inspiration from the great traditions of the Moghul Empire and blended them with the best of Indian and English cuisine developed over the last 30 years. Tower Tandoori offers al fresco dining during the summer season and there is a fully-stocked bar with an extensive selection of international wines, beers, cocktails and Indian beverages. The restaurant is also available for private dining, family gatherings and special occasions such as birthdays, corporate events and product launches.
