Went here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend, and was blown away by the quality of the food! Pleasant ambience, good service and utterly superlative Japanese cuisine. We both ordered the sushi + sashimi lunch special, which was an excellent meal of miso...More

A hidden gem in Baker Street, tucked in a little arcade is Nambu-Tei, a fair sized restaurant that does lunch takeaways and tasty meals. As you enter, you find yourself in what looks like a slightly tired restaurant, but it is never empty, there is...More

The restaurant is simple but very confortable and friendly. The staff is really caring and helped me with my son's stroller and tried everything to make him confortable. The food isn't cheap but it's not very expensive either - but it sure values its price...More

Very clean and tasty flavours in this understated Japanese restaurant between Marylebone and Baker Street stations. The flavours seemed authentic to my uneducated palate, and this is supported by the fact that around 80% of the customers were of Japanese origin. Service was friendly and...More

I've eaten here perhaps 15 times and always had a lovely evening. Beautiful sushi (mackerel is particularly good) and lovely staff. It's a family run restaurant and all my family adore it.

The sushi tastes alright and the service is good but the tuna and other fishes are definitely frozen, which is an absolut no go for a sushi restaurant! For lunch you would have to spend at least 20 pounds, which makes it quite expensive for...More

I have eaten at Nambu tei and rated it before. I think I gave it 4 last time and stand by that this time. The location opposite Baker St tube is good. The food all tastes good - nice nigiri and maki as well as...More

This restaurant is consistently good. I usually have e a beer or 2. Asahi is available, always chilled to perfection. The tuna sashimi is a generous portion, thick cut on a flat platter. I eat at the bar counter. The miso soup is delicate, also...More

Visited the restaurant on a Friday night. We ordered noodles and one of the plates was actually served with a METAL BOLT floating in the soup of the noodles. We luckily noticed the bolt before starting to eat and informed the waitress of the bolt,...More

Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it
