Surprisingly decent food for a chain! I got the surprisingly tasty quinoa ensalada. Black beans, sweet potato and charred corn with salsa served atop avo with a cranberry chili 🌶 salsa. Topped with sweet potato crisps. The menu caters very well for veg and vegans and the happy hour offer is good as well (although I wish it extended to... More

Day out with my husband in London. Found this gem along Southbank and decided to give it a go. So glad we did. Absolutely beautiful food and cocktails (happy hour too). Can highly recommend here for something small for lunch or bigger plates if your hungry. We shared several dishes and every plate went down a treat. Will definitely go... More

Great atmosphere, excellent service, food and happy hour drinks. Our waiter Tibor was first class. He could not have done more to provide an attentive service. We followed his recommendations on brazilian dishes and we were very pleased we did. Definitely will be back when in London

Ten family members from eight to seventy plus got together at this lively restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The cocktails before dinner added an extra interest to the occasion; everyone enjoyed the food, even the fussiest eater who was served a plain burger without any extras as requested. We were welcomed pleasantly and the service was excellent - just the... More

We all enjoyed our lunch here, both the drinks and food menu are extensive and will please anyone. We found the food to be a little expensive, but it was worth it! Go for the Brazilian dishes! Pão de queijo and moqueca were amazing. Portions are huge too! Good efficient service and cocktail specials are just a few more reasons... More

I think it was back in 2004 I discovered Las Iguanas quite by mistake ! I found this restaurant ideal for what I was looking for, Mexican and a glass or two of red wine. And everytime that I have returned to London, I have gone back for Mexican and red wine. My latest visit (January 2017) did not disappoint.... More

Myself and my partner went to London for a weekend break. We were staying nearby and had tried a few restaurants in the south bank area. One late morning we popped in here for breakfast. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Lovely large island in the middle with an antique style coffee machine. We were greeted at the door and... More

This place is located in the Southbank Centre area, close to the footbridge over to Charring Cross station. We had late lunch which was reasonably priced with good service.

We stopped in for lunch and it was very busy. Didn't have to wait long though as the restaurant has plenty of tables. I had some Garlicky mushroom, chilli, thyme & cheese Quesadillas for starter and had the Blazing Bird 1/2 Chicken with hot sauce and salad for my main. The food was excellent especially the garlicky mushroom Quesadilla. Enjoyed... More

Description
At Las Iguanas, food is our passion. We rise at the crack of dawn to unload boxes of top-quality, fresh British produce. Then our chefs add carefully sourced ingredients from around the world, to conjure delicious, authentic South American food, made with passion, love and lots of Latin magic. We are the only restaurant to produce Cachaca from our own sugar cane plantation near Rio and we use it to make the best Caipirinhas this side of the Atlantic. Alongside our Caipirinhas we offer a full range of cocktails, non-alcoholic coolers, minerals & juices, beers, cider and wines. Join us for Happy Hour 12pm to 7pm and 10pm-late daily, and all day Sunday to Wednesday for a range of 2 for 1 offers on our signature cocktails and coolers. At Las Iguanas we hope you'll try new things, discover delights and favourites along the way, but mostly enjoy the unique taste of Latin American hospitality.

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
