We were delighted we followed the advice of the FT's critic and tried this stylish, if cramped, Soho haunt. The menu was well-considered, the food delicious and the service friendly and efficient. By central London standards, this bistro also offered excellent value for money. One...More

If you are fed up with the current restaurant fad for trendy decor and food presentation then this is the place to head for! What arrives on the plate is the important element here. Fresh produce cooked to perfection. The staff could be described as...More

I could not get past the foul-smelling plaice and the soggy cabbage leaves that serve as "mixed greens." Other items on the menu blah. Wine selection decent as is the pecan pie for dessert. This is not a cheap place, so I really think it...More

We stumbled across Andrew Edmunds purely by accident; we'd headed for a late lunch in Soho, to find our first chosen destination closed, the second completely full, and the third, as if by accident, was Andrew Edmunds. It's easy to see why you could walk...More

This really is a wine lovers dream restaurant and as a result I would suggest that it is not a place for a perfect couple's lunch or dinner. You want to relish the wines and so should have at least 6 in order to enjoy...More

Helen and I are here on Sunday night having identified it as a dog friendly place. We sat downstairs in a cosy and intimate candlelit environment. Floyd looked after us really well with detailed explanations of both the menu and the wine list. Helen thoroughly...More

When we arrived, my husband and I exchanged glances that said 'oh dear, have we come to the right place?'. It looked a bit tired but the handwritten menu was dated that day which filled us with intrigue. When the food arrived , portions were...More

Always a new menu, hand written with fresh items daily. Tiny, obscure spot, solid wine list! Look closely for the front door, lots of activity around the area.

I would recommend downstairs just because guests arriving and leaving pass through the tables upstairs and therefore feels less intimate.
Visiting London soon. Is it possible to make a reservation via email rather than calling from overseas?

Established 1986, Andrew Edmunds is considered one of the last bastions of 'old Soho'. This 18thc. town house has, for almost thirty years, attracted many loyal customers. A relaxed atmosphere, seasonal menu and famous but reasonably priced wine list have ensured our enduring popularity.
