Had the pleasure to visit Cafe Maroush (Maroush Express) on 13th April. The restaurant was very busy at 7pm when we passed and I must admit that I didn't expect to find a seat. However, the maitre d'hotel kindly cleared a recently occupied table and my wife and I were swiftly seated. We had the hommous and Tabbouleh to start... More

Great food, friendly & efficient staff, did a takeaway too for next day's lunch. The chicken shawarmas were great but quite pricey. 5 pounds for each shawarma is pretty steep! And we paid .75 pence for the green chillies! Overall a great dinner outing. No regrets.

The Marble Arch area is the ideal location if you decide to eat lebanese cuisine. And Maroush is an institution, with few different resturant in the area. We decided for this restaurant because of the relevant number of good review on the web and we're not disappointed. The Manager is such a friendly person, the service is fast and the... More

Fleeting lunch visit on Edgware Road. Hoummous Berituy is excellent if you can handle spices. Some of the appetiser/ starter items are clearly frozen rather than freshly made but the sambosa and kibbeh are worth an order. But the start of the show is the shawarma it is the best I've had, hands down anywhere in this country. No if's... More

I'll start with a positive.. Very friendly staff & the food was good. However, a few key notes that really let the place down from the high level of potential I can see the business could have. I suspect they have a policy that makes a lot of sense, however I couldn't quite work it out... The restaurant had multiple... More

We have eaten here on many occasions and have never been disappointed. We always eat here every time we are in London. Mr Moin is the best manager we have ever come across. He is extremely helpful and attentive and his recommendations are always spot on.

Maroush Express may well be the busiest of the Maroush restaurants, particularly in finer weather, when it's not uncommon to see a queue trailing from the doors and extending along the street - though the restaurant seats up to 50 people. The multi-coloured glass tables create a bright, fun atmosphere - the cosy yet lively environment, coupled with fantastic food & service, attracts everyone from families to business people to a younger crowd later in the evening.Open noon to 1am, 7 days a week

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
