Oh how much we miss you. You were always one our favourites We feel nostalgic for all the fun times that we had together even in the early days when I was a little boy sitting on Maurice's bike or being told by Majid to behave myself. Good luck Peter - We do miss you. x

We were shocked to hear that our favourite London restaurant has closed. My husband and I have been enjoying food and atmosphere here since we first met 40 years ago!! It is so much a part of our lives and has been consistently excellent over the years. This is terrible as La Brasserie became like an extended home from home. The... More

'Mr Scott' as I was known by the lovely staff, went to this institution for 30 years si ce setting up my business locally in 1987. I never imagined for one minute that Le Brasserie would not be here for ever. I will miss it dreadfully and nothing will fill the gaping hole that it leaves behind it. It sadly... More

I was so sad to recieve an email saying that they had finally closed their doors after 40+ years of business. Alwyas had a fun time here and we all loved it as a family and we have been going here for years. Thank you to all the staff who have made this a great place to eat and drink... More

There is such an old world feel to this charming brasserie. The breakfast was different and not the usual generic stuff you get. Really enjoyed our breakfast.

Quite a large venue has comfortable seating and a pleasant atmosphere. Service was very good. The menu offers many choices in a french bistro style. All the dishes were quite good. Duck confit is very popular and was good although the skin was not crispy. Asparagus and seafood soup appetizers were also enjoyed by all. Good range of wines available.... More

Last week my friends and I just pop in for supper. We where amazed by the staff friendly welcome, quality food and also by the house Merlot. Affordable with a typical French Brasserie ambience and no booking hassle.

The is the perfect restaurant to meet friends at for lunch or supper. Its quite informal, but the service is good, and there always seems to be a buzz to the place. The food was as good as ever and I very much enjoyed the whole evening.

Been here twice and tried their rib eye steak, fries, green salad and burger. They all were average to below average yet you pay premium. Nothing on the menu is less than about $10 except sides and soft drinks which is for $5! Would go to this restaurant if it were in the side country but if I were in... More

The food is half decent but the deplorable service, hygiene and unfriendly staff kills the entire experience. Customer service is not a concept this restaurant has ever been familiar with and the manager is an idiot. And let me not get started about the cleanliness...I was sitting and a rat trap from underneath their booth got stuck to my shoe!!!... More

Dear customer, We have a health and safety rating of top marks at 5 out of 5. Not many restaurants acheive this standard of excellence. We have no idea what you are talking about, a rat trap? That's ridiculous! Our managers have both been here a very long time and ate lived by our thousands of regular customers. I'm glad... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
