Excellent Italian food. Been coming here for years. Highly recommend food, good service and great atmosphere. Unfortunately the prices have risen too much for us to go as a family... :(

This has been our pre-theatre choice in Wimbledon for the last two or three years but will not be any longer after our last two visits. There is nothing wrong with the food but the service is rude and disinterested once you cut through the shell of banter. It should be easy to get a couple of glasses of tap... More

We are regular customers of Al Forno in Putney SW15. We decided to try Al Forno Wimbledon last week for a change. I really wish we hadn't bothered. The staff were unfriendly the service was slow and painful. The food well I didn't expect to be served frozen powdery potatoes with my meal! Disgusting!! We were sat on a table... More

Food very poor, service slow, expensive for really average food. Do not waste your time and money. This is a busy restaurant that promised so much.

This is the 3rd time we have been to alforno and it never dissapoints. Romantic settings feel like you are in another country. Seating outside is warm all year around. Staff are very friendly and the food is amazing 100% must go for some real italian food.

This is the second time I have had their prawns and rice in a white wine sauce and never have I seen such huge prawns and so tasty! The service is excellent - lots of attention and everything arrived very quickly. Nice warm atmosphere in winter - really love this place!

Came here for dinner with a friend and was really impressed with the spinach and mushroom starter. However, the main course was a different story. I ordered the penne fiorentina and found the cream sauce far too runny, the portion of spinach seemed huge compared to the amount of salmon and there was something unidentifiably crunchy and unpleasant at the... We recently went here for a family birthday and there was a lot of us but that does not excuse what I can only describe as a dreadful experience. We arrived at 7 on a Saturday evening and all ordered drinks first which was good other than they forgot two peoples order and we had to ask again, but hey... More

Hey Nick Thank you for coming to Al Forno Restaurant. I am very sorry about the experience you had that night, I can assure you this is not a common problem in Al Forno. We have a rich history in catering for large parties within our near 20 year history and all I can say is that I am sorry... More

Regularly visit here, if you're after a quiet d Ning experience maybe not the place to come on the weekends but always good atmosphere, always busy. Service is never slow, staff are busy making sure everyone is happy. Everything looks and seems home made, always tasty.

We went to Al forno's on a Wednesday night for the first time in a while and loved it. Fabulous calamari, awesome and massive pizzas (only order small for one person, no REALLY only order small) and homemade desserts which are fab. Unfailingly happy and brilliant service, very reasonable (about £25 ph including service for booze, pizzas, starters, desserts. Awesome,... More
