Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Taken by my wife who had eaten here regularly as a child so a bit of a nostalgia trip. It's waffles or nothing as far as I could tell. Which was absolutely fine. Had the garlic mushrooms and cheese to...More

Nice small cafe on St Giles serving almost exclusively waffle for mains and deserts. Unusual but well worth trying for a change.

I first came here as a schoolgirl with my Mum in 1978. I would have either the cheese sauce with mushrooms waffle or the chocolate mousse waffle. I moved away in 1983 but every time I come back I come back here. I had them...More

This is a Norwich institution and has been based in the same building since 1978. Down stairs is small and has about 20 tables available when that gets busy the staff will open the upstairs part of the restaurant. We've popped in here a fair...More

I'll start by admitting I am not a huge fan of waffles, but those I came here with are; however, I enjoyed my meal off of the specials board, beef jalfrezi on a wholemeal waffle, followed by a gooseberry cheesecake, which was delicious. The rest...More

First visited in early 1980s. Usually go there when I'm in Norwich - about once a year. Has retained its character. Always enjoyable. Menu offers good range of options at affordable prices. Friendly atmosphere. On balance, probably prefer eating in the upstairs part - less...More

We have been to the waffle house several times, and my recommendation is to avoid the waffles. There's nothing wrong with them; really there isn't, but the specials really are special, and each special I ordered and eaten has been special and worth the gamble...More

The Waffle House was very close to our hotel St Giles House. I have never seen such a choice of waffles and ice creams. We had waffles with banana and strawberries-absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.

Positives - *Didn't have to wait for a table. *Central location. Negatives - *Very expensive for what you get. *Very noisy and crammed together tables. Couldn't hear each other across the table. There is nothing WRONG with here, exactly. It's just that there are so...More

Conveniently situated in the city centre, serving a great range of home-cooked savoury and sweet waffles accompanied by a small but interesting wine/beer list. Make sure you check out the specials board! Great for vegetarians, friendly and efficient staff and reasonably priced.

Love to help, but I think you'd need to check with the staff - I'm lucky in not having any dietary requirements, so do not notice details like this myself.

You can see the menu by searching, sorry I'm not allowed to include web links. They have lots of vegetarian choices, I think more than meat options, but will mix and match toppings if you ask. I recommend the cheese sauce... More
