I love the Magpie and have been visiting whenever I come to Whitby - the fish and chips is one of the top two I have ever eaten in England and for some reasons, whilst I hate mushy peas, I love the mushy peas here!...More

Been coming here for years at least once month previously fish was a decent size and was hard to close the takeout box was so large now it hardly fills it chips hard and overcooked now offering pepsi instead of coca cola but charging same...More

There is no better place for fish and chips for sure. We always have a great lunch and you can even purchase some fish from their shop just down the road.

So impressed with this the food was incredible which I could of eaten more of, not cos there wasn’t enough but cos it was so good. The staff are friendly and happy to chat.

If you want good food in Whitby go to the Magpie , the fish and chips are amazing the pudding selection varied and good portion sizes. Be prepared to queue but other than that faultless.

Went to the Magpie Cafe for lunch the service was second to none and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. The food was delicious and fresh.

Yes I can say that my wife and I thought that they were the best chips we had tasted for a very long time. And the grilled halibut was outstanding.
