The mains of belly pork and duck breast were good. Pork skin was crackling and meat was moist and tender. Paired well with the baked Apple and... More

My husband and I visited here last night having never been before, on one of our rare date nights. Initially we thought the restaurant was very charming, and the person who greeted us and took us to our table was lovely and helpful. It was very noisy, there being two large and rather boisterous parties in a pretty small space,... More

Just had a lovely meal in there, our first visit. A table for four, we were seated straight away for our booking. I had the mussels in a cream n garlic sauce for a starter, it was lovely, very tasty. If I had to be super critical I'd say the finger bowl water would have been better warm, not stone... More

Very nice restaurant. Food delicious, especially the duck. Staff efficient but not very friendly. Clean and tidy. Worth a visit.

A friend had recommended this restaurant and I'm so glad them did. It took us a little while to find it as the map we had was not to scale and it's tucked down a pretty alleyway in the centre of York. Lovely staff who were very welcoming and offered to take our coats. I chose the fishcake to start... More

Small restaurant tucked away off the main drag in central York. Quaint and cosy. A bit quirky. Lovely staff. Great food available from menu or specials board. Fresh quality ingredients. Mid to top price range. Lovely dining experience.
