Very enjoyable lunchtime tapas, also very nice fish and chips, in a proper pub atmosphere. Good value, excellent range of beer including Tim Taylor's Landlord. Dog friendly.

Good food, company, beer and weather but had to drive. After confirming the Saracen's Head was dog friendly we descended on the pub for lunch. Hot weather 'forced' us to sit outside and look at the countryside and horses and other such refinements you don't get in Birmingham. A place you're unlikely to stumble on in passing meant it was... Visited the Saracens last week and joined the Towcester rotary Club for a 2 course dinner with coffee and mints. A really decent roast pork main and apple pie to follow. given they were catering for about 50 people the meal was very good and at a low price.

I brought my Mother to this venue after reading the rave reviews and travelling from Hampshire we were ready to sit down to the fabulous fare we were expecting. After arriving slightly early we were greeted very warmly, we were shown to our table which seemed to be out of the way as we were on our own but as... More

Visited a couple of weeks ago with my wife, son, sister and brother in law. Greeted by friendly staff on arrival. Promptly shown to our table. I had roast pork, which was delicious, my wife and son had "mini fish and chips" which although delicious were very small! My meal and my brother in law's were washed down with pints... More

Found The Saracens Head while passing through the small village of Little Brington. Thought in such a small village the pub would be shut on a Monday lunchtime and if open would not be serving a lunchtime menu. How wrong we were. Excellent meal and beautifully presented. Very pleasant and attentive staff without being over bearing. We shall definitely return... More

Visited the Saracens again after a year or so and had lunch in the 'library' which has a very nice ambience. Food was good as ever, with lots of vegetables served separately. Not a huge menu but more than enough to satisfy most people; will not leave it so long to return again

A crowd of us went to the Saracens Head on what was a dreary January weekend and it was very welcoming and we were very well looked after. Most of us were very happy with the food, mostly having the Sunday lunch (lamb or beef) with the notable exception of a gammon steak. All was good. Service was very warm... More

We visited this establishment for the first time and will certainly be returning. We decided to have lunch which was served in one of the cosy traditional rooms. The menu was not extensive but there was something for most people. We had the parsnip and apple soup to start followed by the pie of the day, which was turkey and... More

Description
Situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside 2 miles from Althorp House, the ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales. A traditional village inn with character and charm. We are a privately owned and run free house with a selection of well kept real ales and lagers plus an extensive wine list. Runners-up in the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards 2009. A great place to spend a lunchtime or evening.
