We have gone to Copper with our son and daughter in law for years and years and always delighted with everything. But over the last year whilst moving up here to live, we haven't enjoyed anything. It's now expensive, and bears no resemblance to the great and always reliable place that it was. Will go for coffee and cake, but... More

I have been going to this cafe for as long as it has been there. When working I would have coffee there most days of the week. However after visiting today i was shocked at the rise in prices which appeared to be right across the board. The coffee has gone up to £2.30 and to find tea at the... More

Food is always excellent and it's always busy, which is sometimes a drawback. The coffee could be hotter and they have an annoying habit of not bringing sugar to the table and having to go and get it, but that's only a niggle.

Visited 4pm on Saturday 18th for a drink with friends. Ordered drinks and sat down. Then decided I needed a call of nature. I first went looking at the back of the bar to where the kitchens were but found out the men's were upstairs. While I was there I looked into the kitchen and wasn't impressed at all in... More

I visited for lunch midweek and the cafe was busy. I sat a table and waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order. Once my order was taken I was then approached another 3 times to ask if I wanted to order anything. I had ordered a steak sandwich which was nice but the steak was very rare and... More

In Nottingham early with my wife we had decided to have breakfast at Copper, only to find that they don't open until 10am.. a bit late for breakfast in my opinion. We waited, and whilst the member of staff was polite and efficient (almost lightening fast), the tables clean, and the coffee nice, the food wasn't quite what we expected.... More

Went here on Sunday evening. Food was lovely, my companion had the vegetarian pie and I had the fishcakes. Was very enjoyable. On a Sunday evening they have a singer on and it made for a really pleasant evening. Very chilled out and a nice way to prepare for the week ahead.

Copper is cosy and a nice place for a drink any time of the day.the menu looks good but the food can be a bit hit and miss. Had the tapas platter which had very hard 'coarse' pate. Over baked camembert and no red onion marmalade.friendly staff.

Went for a few drinks with the girlfriend last night. There is a short but novel cocktail menu which is reasonably priced, and a few unusual beers on tap. Given the name of the establishment I was a little disappointed with the lack of copper drinking vessels (especially for cocktails). Also, as someone who without a sweet tooth and a... More
