A great way to start the day. Cheap breakfast and coffee. Served quickly and hot. Been several times now and will continue too.

Popular place, with a lot of locals using it, you could tell by the banter as they walked through. Simple food, not perfect but perfectly edible. Too many onions in a salad, but easily removed as the salad was layered, as it had been cut fresh.

It's a really nice venue - I love the renovated building - and the food tastes pretty good. The menu isn't quite as wide-ranging as I'd like so I've tended to go for the same thing each time I visit (which is once a week at the moment!). The portions aren't particularly generous and service is slow but as Wetherspoon's... More

Got a tiny portion of scrambled egg with my veggie breakfast. Complained to the waitress who took it back to the kitchen. She returned and said that 'Chef' had told her it was two eggs and that was all I'd paid for. I pointed out that it was not even a spoonful - definitely not 2 eggs. She just shrugged.... More

The Samuel Hall is a really good branch of the Wetherspoons chain. It is a large venue with lots of varied seating and is therefore suitable for a wide range of customers - couples, big groups, lads drinking, and even groups of Mums with babies can all be spotted here and are all made welcome by the staff. I went here with a good friend for lunch. It has the standard wetherspoons menu and is a nice big comfortable which can hold alot of people. Sadly due to the size and number of staff the food came in dribs and drabs and was all cold. A shame as it isa nice place
