The food was good, but the atmosphere and service made this a great afternoon. Staff were friendly and welcoming. They were very accommodating of our large group and the 'Robin Hood' tour we were on. Would highly recommend.

We travelled over 100 miles to visit and it was definitely worth the journey. The food was perfectly cooked, venue was excellent and staff were polite and professional.

I have wanted to go here for a few years now, and when I finally did, it did not disappoint. Great food, great atmosphere and such friendly staff.

Had a nice day out at the trip.full of history.oldest Inn in england.good food and drink there own brew called the trip is very strong.nice weather so at outside below the castle.

I love this pub, full of character, history and spookiness. Lots of little corners to hide in, serves a great range of booze, nice beer garden and good wholesome food. Nice staff and clientele too.

Having grown up in Nottingham I made my first visit here last month! The pub itself is stunning inside and marketed as Nottinghams oldest pub, which I can certainly believe. Almost feels like you've gone caving which is novel! Very cosy and very clean. I've...More
