I was over from London for a short break celebrating my birthday and even though I pre-booked and was a little late everything I had read was definitely true to its nature. I felt like I was back in the carribean the food was delicious...and the atmosphere top notch! Had they had cocktails available it would have been a perfect score notheless I would go back again on my next trip to Oxford and my gratitude goes out to the manager too 😀More

Coming from the Netherlands and finding out on a misty evening that Comie is still going strong was a relief, the ultimate friendly welcome ,laid back reggae all over the place and the superb Jerk chicken were as great ( if not better) as we...remembered. If you're in for something off the beaten track ( quite literally) this is the place to go to. Friendly priced,delicious and served with a big big smile.More

Came here last night and we’re sooooo glad we did!! The vibe was very Caribbean with the music and decor - hard to believe that the place is just off a main roundabout on an industrial area. Parking was a bit of an issue but...don’t let that put you off coming here. There wasn’t a massive menu but it had the things we wanted. We ordered dumplings, jerk chicken, lamb chops, and brown chicken stew. I can honestly say it was the nicest Caribbean food we’ve had. If we come back to Oxford again we will definitely come back. Also if you’re staying at the Premier Inn nearby, it’s easy to get to so leave your car at the hotel and walk - it’ll take 5 minutes. Fabulous!!More

Delicious dinner and friendly staff. The peppered steak and goat curry were especially tasty. Also loved the side of macaroni cheese. Thank you!

We went late on a Monday eve - with half hour till closing we were still welcomed even tho we were the only customers at the time. Food was great - its about 4-5 miles out of town - very handy for the mini factory...- so a little out of the way from Oxford but if you are nearby definitely Go!!More

Absolutely loved it here. Totally different vibe to what we are used to. Laid back, fun and great music. Staff were so friendly and clearly wanted guests to enjoy their food. Incredible value and, absolutely delicious. Took us back to our Uni days when we...ate carribean food a fair bit. This was 👌👌 Service was a bit slow but, that really didn't matter. It just made us want the food even more. Worth the wait!More

We had an excellent meal here last night. The staff couldn't have been more lovely, the waitress even came to find us when we couldn't locate the restaurant which is difficult to find. Food was really good and having been to the Caribbean a few...times can say its very authentic. I'd highly recommend.More

Well not really first time but street food at carnival doesn't even come close, so we can ignore that. Besides, Bob Marley is better on the digestion than steel bands competing against each other. We have visited this Caribbean restaurant several times for a reasonably priced meal. Menu a bit limited, with several chicken versions , ox tail and goat curry. With the chicken it can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes a lovely juicy piece of chicken,...sometimes mostly bone, as was the case for my partner on this occasion. I though chose Akhee and Saltfish as it is more reliable, which came with steamed vegetables, black rice, and mac n cheese. I enjoyed my meal but it's a pity the chicken dished are not more predictable.More

Very good and interesting food. The staff were very good and friendly. Quite a few of things on the menu and wine list out of stock. The Jerk chicken was very good. Worth a visit.
