A smallish bar in the centre of Oxford. Seemed quite popular as they was a few in. Good service , when one of our drinks was a bit flat, they instantly changed it, were apologetic. Good atmosphere and well worth a visit

Had lunch there, great fish and chips as well as chicken pot pie. Very popular place for Oxford. The place is really old - built many hundreds of years ago and still functional. Mind you the ceiling is really low so tall people should watch...More

Nice enough pub with efficient friendly service but food I ordered was nothing special. Had the mussels which were fine but clearly not that fresh (or overcooked) and the caramel brownie which was nice but a little sickly and needed more ice creamMore

Good food very tasty, surprised by super fast and attentive service, welcoming staff. Reasonably priced, also a surprise in tourist territory.

A delightful pub in the heart of the University of Oxford. Always busy but never impossible to find a space to eat and drink. Important to squeeze-up and be friendly. Didn't eat this time but the pint of Oxford Prospect was very welcome.

This is a nice old fashioned pub with a cosy feel. The beer selection is good and the menu is perfect for tourists but uninspiring for locals. There is a link to Oxford's most popular policeman if you are on a Morse pilgrimage and we...More

I always wanted to try Yorkshire pudding in the UK. When I saw the menu ‘Toad in a hole’ which basically is sausages, mash potato and vegetables in a giant Yorkshire pudding, I knew I am in for a treat. Definitely check it out.

Hello Although I have to confess the batter is normally baked with the sausage this is our version of the classic British dish. Thank you for your response we are glad you were not disappointed. Regards
