Fishermans Cottage is situated right by the canal and lock. It was a cloudy day when we were taken there for lunch by our student grandson and I would love to return on a sunny day to enjoy the outside space. We had tapas- portion...More

I have been here with somebody else, for food and drinks . The location is really nice especially in Summer, but food is just average to poor. The last time we had prawns and chicken empanadas. Prawns were acceptable, but the empanadas tasted really horrible....More

I’ve been here quite a few times, really lovely pub, nice location hidden and not too busy! Recently the food when I’ve had meals is lacking flavour, the roast I was so excited for but wasn’t amazing I wouldn’t rush back for the food. I...More

A lovely little find along the river. Sitting outside is so peaceful, away from the crowds yet just a short walk from the city centre. The drinks are reasonably priced, the menu choices are plenty and delicious. Service always friendly.

Lovely pub with a brilliant range of ales that I haven't seen served anywhere else, certainly one for CAMRA fans. Excellent tapas and snacks, brilliantly friendly staff
