An off chance visit en route a show and it was not a wasted evening as the tapas choice is very good and a great staff. A simple menu offering a good selection of tapas, time was limited so luckily service was good and the prawns, manchego cheese and calamari were all excellent as was the fresh salmon pate.

We live in Widcombe and are blessed with this gem of a pub/bistro. Constantly quality well cooked food by the head chef Dave. Love the Sunday Jazz & tapas (sadly not every week now).

We went Saturday evening, didn't have a starter as didn't want to fill up and not finish the main... We ordered the sharing steak, the meat was delicious, the potatoes were slightly too oily and there was definitely not enough vegetables for 2 people, in total 7 Chantilly carrots and 5 small pieces of Kale! The gravy was delicious! The... More

Went with a group of 10, pre-ordered food. Service friendly. Two real ales on tap. My onion soup was very salty, medium-rare steak came in medium, pannacotta dessert was pretty good. The lamb chops did look excellent (another in the party had them). About the standard we should expect for the price.

What a lovely place! Atmosphere calm and inviting, staff friendly & attentive without being intrusive and food delicious. Visited during a weekend away in Bath and wanted an informal meal. So glad we found this place. It's more like a bistro bar than gastro pub.

First visit here last night. Staff were attentive, courteous, amenable and personable. I assume the man who looked after us for most of the evening was the manager (apologies, I didn't get your name) but what a fabulous host & what a fantastic place you run. The food was superb. Such a refreshing change to get excellent service and food... More

Had a starter of pumpkin soup with monkfish tail, mussels and a prawn. Soup was tepid, the prawn was rubbery and bland with no flavour - it all needed seasoning. My companion just wanted a bigger dish as it was too small. Main course was veals liver which my companion enjoyed, but agreed that the chlorine tasting piece on my... More
