A proper old pub in the centre of Bath, with a lovely warm atmosphere. The pub is frendly, clean N tidy and serve good BIG dinners. Sam Wellers - Love it !

Called in for lunch. Pub is quite small and very busy, but we were able to get a table for 2 quite quickly. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent, but wine is quite expensive. Toilets downstairs very clean.

Disappointing visit food average. service very lacking. Food placed on table not asked if we would like any sauces. My scampi had been so over cooked that some tartare sauce would helped wash it down. The landlady seemed more keen to discuss her bad trip advisor review with customers at the bar then give any attentive service to other customers.... More

Small pub but with friendly staff! Great pint and a few real ales on offer! A lovely large and well filled jacket potatoe for lunch! Well worth a visit!

Expensive beer, Landlady more interested in listening in to your conversations then serving customer. Toilets were not very clean. makes you wonder what the kitchen like.

We booked for Sunday lunch and so glad we did. We love this traditional pub which hasn't been tempted to convert itself into a "gastropub" - nothing against them but this was special - traditional decor with traditional food done nicely. Although traditional in every way, our Sunday beef roast was cooked beautifully and came with all the trimmings -... More

This is a relatively small pub but has an extensive menu of traditional pub grub, certainly not a gastro pub . If you are looking for a good traditional pub lunch at reasonable prices this is a good place to go. It has a good selection of keg beers but if you are looking for cask ales the selection is...
