Ideal stop off for beer and wine and food. Lovely selection of wines. Good place to sit and people watch. Comfy seating and helpful staff. Traditional pub with no airs and graces. Not over priced either.

We were there for a business trip and had a real fantastic dinner there. The main course was absolutely perfect (lamb) in a very nice place, but we didn't succeed in getting the recipe ;-) Congratulation to the Salamander team. You have to stop there!

Went here for a meal and a beer. The service was great, they recommended beers and ciders to suit individual tastes. The food was also good and reasonably priced - we had the bean burger and the fish. It's a pretty small space downstairs, I...More

Great food and lovely atmosphere but the service at times was very slow. Thankfully we weren't in a rush but it took 20mins from requesting our bill (long after our desert bowl were taken away) to getting our bill. The meal (2 courses) took 2.5...More

Hi Alana Sorry to hear your experience with us on Saturday wasn't great! As our menu is all made with fresh, seasonal food it changes monthly, and over the bank holiday the same few dishes being changed over and phased in/out were also incredibly popular!...More

Hi the table we had was upstairs. I'm unsure if there was a lift. It is spread across a few levels. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Description
The Salamander is great city-centre pub.
'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath.
Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
