Every time I have visited Bath I have always had a lovely time. Great atmosphere, good food with good portions. Was able to taste test a Cider before having a pint which was good as there is a variety on offer. Just a friendly pub with a lot to offer.

Average pub grub you'd expect from s commercialised pub. The 'Big Fish' wasn't that big (long but thin) served up on a wooden board that seems popular these days, the fish was over cooked and dry and the triple cooked chips were suspiciously similar to frozen steakhouse chips. The onion rings in the picture were extra. Disappointing but ok Staff... More

We just wanted a drink and a sit down after a lot of walking and this pub was the first place we came across. It was a busy Saturday afternoon so we bought our drinks then went upstairs which was much quieter. There is a second bar upstairs which we would have used instead of queuing downstairs and carrying our... More

Dinner for 2 on a quiet February Wednesday night. Barman took the order wrong, however he did look very young & very new. server brought starters out and dumped them on the table and walked off, didn't give me a chance to say I didn't order that... so took it to the bar and asked for it to be swapped... Went in for a quick pint and burger. I ordered a chicken burger but it came in 3 (small) chicken-nugget-esque pieces which I felt didn't constitute a burger. Furthermore, this wasn't specified on the menu. I requested to speak to the manager and in fairness the staff were very polite. However the manager showed no interest 'what do you want... More

Nice friendly pub and deceptively spacious inside. Excellent choice of real ales which were well kept. The food menu is small but if you like burgers or hot dogs you will be fine. Food was ok and good value. I had Hunter's Chicken which was really tasty and chips were nice and crispy but as is often the case chicken... More

This is an amazing pub. Great selection of food and drink and best of all an old arcade table. There were also plenty of board games. Downstairs toilets were a bit spooky but that just added to the atmosphere. This was very central too and extremely kid friendly. Would definitely return.
